Showers and storms continue to decrease. No more severe weather is expected, but a shower or weak storm may continue through about 7:00 or 8:00 this morning. We're tracking the rain on ABC 13.
Here is an update on the tornado watch until 7:00 p.m. for Liberty, Polk, and San Jacinto Counties. No storms are in the area and the severe weather threat is likely to stay farther east into Louisiana. We'll have an update on ABC 13 News at 5:30 this evening.
We are tracking showers moving east across Harris County and Southeast Texas. Showers should move out of Harris County by around noon to 1 p.m., but you will see light to moderate rain for up to an hour and maybe wind gusts up to 40 mph in spots
Lightning and rain may keep you awake for a while tonight. A cold front is pushing a line of thunderstorms southeast across Harris County and Southeast Texas. The threat for strong winds and hail are lowering...but heavy rainfall of 2 to 3 inches in some areas may cause street flooding. Storms will move into the Gulf later tonight.
HFD responds to mass casualty incident at Houston's Astroworld Festival
WATCH LIVE: Dozens of ambulances and a crowd of first responders were seen at NRG Park as the music event was wrapping up Friday night. Crews performed CPR on at least two people.

Flooding fears in coastal Matagorda County: ABC13-Ted Oberg fought the wind-whipped rain to pass on some knowledge on rising water that could catch people off guard with Tropical Storm Nicholas making landfall during the night time.

Texas Gov. Abbott discusses state's preparations ahead of Tropical Storm Nicholas
WATCH LIVE: Gov. Greg Abbott said the state has placed rescue teams and resources in the Houston area and along the Texas Gulf Coast ahead of Tropical Storm Nicholas.
Authorities have already told residents to plan to head somewhere safe indoors by 7 p.m. tonight.
