Real estate changes are here, but let’s not over complicate this. I believe in going the extra mile for our clients. Part of that is educating buyers/sellers on the new changes moving forward so they feel comfortable making an informed decision that’s in their best interest.
There will undoubtedly be a learning curve through this transition period, but I believe honesty, transparency, and professionalism will bring a happy buyer and seller. I’m never going to be the reason someone doesn’t land their dream home.

There is a lot of information out there about the new NAR settlement requirements and what that looks like for the real estate world starting in August.
One thing we know for sure is that realtors must have a signed buyer broker agreement before showing property.

If we work together on this, I’m confident we will all be dancing in the kitchen with happy clients on both ends.
Do you have to pay the buyer broker? No
Is it in your best interest? Yes
⭐️AND here’s WHY?
It’s ALWAYS been a commission to the selling agent that then agrees to co-op with the buyer’s agent to put your home at a competitive advantage. This shouldn’t change. The buyer already has to come up with moving cost, closing cost, and a down payment. Adding to that will eliminate a large pool of buyers and put you at a competitive disadvantage.
As realtors, we have the fiduciary responsibility to our individual client, but we all have the same end goal of accomplishing the sale with a happy buyer and seller.

This boy was born an adventurous risk-taker and really pushes all my momma-bear comfort zones, but he teaches me to be present and live in the moment.
I don’t have his breath hold, but I did take the 35ft jump into the Blue Hole and repelled myself out on a rope. This year is all about taking risks and being present.
