An edit to my post, I quickly uploaded a video of some of Garry on stage and then posted the wrong link, Here is the corrected one.

It is with great shock and sadness that I must inform you of the sudden passing of Garry St. Martin, beloved member of the Ross Music Theatre community and our "Bob Cratchit," on Saturday, January 18th. Garry had been a part of Ross Music Theatre since his high school days in the 1980s.

Most recently, he portrayed Monsieur D'Arque in our 2006 production of *Beauty and the Beast* and played Belle's Father in our 2017 rendition. Garry was also a Brother in *Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat*, having participated in the production three times, including our most recent presentation in 2016. Over the past 15 years, he has played the role of Bob Cratchit in over 20 productions, embodying characters such as Jacob Marley and Tom Jenkins—one year even portraying all three in the same show.

Beyond his roles on stage, Garry contributed significantly to our Studio Theatre, performing in numerous plays and Halloween shows. He is particularly remembered for his extraordinary rendition of George Bailey, a role he performed every December since 2009. Garry was always ready to help with set building, moving, flying, and dismantling them; he would pitch in wherever needed.

While Garry's contributions to the theatre will be profoundly missed, it is the person he was that we will all cherish the most. It’s hard to find anyone who doesn’t have something kind to say about him. Garry was friendly and always wore a smile for everyone. I have known him for over 40 years, and I have never heard him speak ill of anyone. He exemplified professionalism, but even more so, he was a true example of what it means to be a good person and friend. I miss him already.

Please keep Garry, his family, and his many friends in your thoughts and prayers. Godspeed, Garry. Please tell my Dad, Mom, and all the alumni who have passed on that we miss them all, and somehow, the shows go on.

Tonight, a cherished NWI tradition takes center stage at the new Reinhart Auditorium. Scrooge the musical premieres tonight, a testament to perseverance and dedication. Despite theatre upgrades, The Crew only gained stage access during Thanksgiving week. Undaunted, they worked tirelessly to relocate, rebuild, and repaint sets. The new sound, lighting, and projecting systems were mastered and programmed with remarkable speed. In just 10 days, the cast and crew achieved what normally requires 6-8 weeks. Your patience will be richly rewarded. The special themed food at our concession stand returns, so come hungry. Every aspect, from concessions to carolers in the lobby, and the stunning production itself, will leave you in awe of the talented cast members.
