please keep our good friend Stephen Breeding in your thoughts and prayers tonight, and the days ahead. losing a parent is one of the hardest things we’ll ever have to do. the Breedings and especially Tim, have been a staple of the community for years. one of my favorite song writers, Chris Knight wrote “we learned long ago that you don’t doubt the good Lord’s plan, but some things are hard to take Lord. we just try and understand”.

UP NEXT: Veteran Travis Fugate is joining us to tell us about his start in the military and life after being wounded in service. Travis was involved in an explosion and lost his vision. he has overcome the obstacles and is now raising a farm and providing fresh produce in Knott county. he has a very interesting story and is a extremely humble guy when he has every reason not to be. can’t wait to sit down and hear his story.

I feel very strongly that once we get back in our rhythm, that me and Brad should really do bar/restaraunt reviews around all of KY and surrounding Appalachia. I think it would be cool and super informative and something extra to discuss.

this is what Appalachia and Southeast Ky is all about down in these hollers! this little girl is safe and sound and the response by not only our public protectors but just the every day citizens of Knott county that dropped everything to go search without hesitation is a true testament to our area. we may be hillbillies to most people, but we are a tough crew to handle when we all come together with a task at hand like this. I’m always proud to be from this hole in the ground called Knott county, but today it means even more! such amazing people! Appalachian strong!

We wanted to give everyone an update. Madlyn is being cared for by hospital staff, she is doing great. She has become more talkative and seems to be improving. She is getting warm, snuggled up with her Trooper Teddy. She does have some superficial scratches to her feet and upper body. They will be doing more testing as the night progresses, ensuring that her feet have not become frostbit. Continued prayers would be appreciated, for her speedy recovery.

On behalf of Kentucky State Police, Hazard post, we would like to send a huge Thank you to all the emergency crews that responded and dedicated so much time and effort into this rescue mission. Without hesitation, crews from all over Kentucky responded to the call to help a child in need. Thank you to all the business that donated food, water and supplies. Thank you to the many citizens that have offered your help in any way possible, and most importantly thank you all for your prayers. It was truly remarkable to see so many come together, working to bring a sweet child back home safely.
