Let me tell you a little story about how “From Bland To Grand” got started…📖
A few years ago I was scrolling through TikTok in a desperate need to forget how hard my day as a teacher had been.When I came across a profile of this wonderful lady who was talking about what a social media manager was and how she was able to create a successful business even through all of her life struggles. I stop and watch that 15 second video and thought, “wow wouldn’t it be amazing to go into that career field?”However, I didn’t think it would possible to start all over again in a new career SPECIALLY a career that I would have to be outgoing and talk ALOT!! If you know me personally, you know I’m not really a outgoing type of person.🫣
Anywho….fast forward a couple of years. With a few pushes of encouragement from my husband I quit my job, went back to school, got my FIRST CLIENT( Shoutout to Be Blessed BBQ-Nacogdoches) and continue to follow the advice and encouragement of that wonderful lady from TikTok! I was able to grow my business to where it is today from all of her advice. A few months ago that same lady from TikTok posted a video that she would be taking in interns for a TikTok internship with her. My immediate thought was there is no way I could ever get into her internship! Funny how we are the first ones to put ourselves down, however I decided to apply anyways…
I was one of the few who was selected out of 9,334 people who applied for that internship!!! I couldn’t believe I would be learning from my role model! I completed that internship in June. Thank you to Rachel Pedersen for giving me the opportunity to intern for you and giving me the encouragement I needed to become a girl boss!
Moral of the story is push pass your limits and don’t be afraid to be ✨GRAND!✨
