🌟 Tiger Internship Spotlight Series 🌟

This week is extra special as we feature three talented interns working for Tiger Media Network (TMN). They played crucial roles in producing the summer documentary that will be released very soon!

🐯 Raegan:
"This internship is helping me prepare for my future career by giving me more experience with video storytelling, interviewing people, and working with others."

✨ Advice:
"I would tell other students who are looking for internships to take chances and get outside of their comfort zone. The experience is more worthwhile that way."

🐯 Ryan:
"During my internship, I’ve been able to gain real-world experience in media production and have learned more about what it takes to work within a small production team. Additionally, this internship has allowed me to practice my interviewing and filming skills and understand more about documentary storytelling."

✨ Advice:
"Internships are a great opportunity to determine if your career path is truly right for you or not! You’re able to “test the waters” and see what aspects of the job you like or dislike before fully committing to the career. So don’t be afraid to apply for internships as it’s a great learning experience!"

🐯 John:
"The internship is definitely giving me pointers for how to work as a team on a long-term project. I usually work by myself on projects, and if I do work with a group, it's usually one of those week-long group project things. But this is a long-term (or two-month-long) project that’s requiring us to spend time with people who likewise have a lot of experience. It’s giving us ideas to divide the work to each member based on their abilities."

✨ Advice:
"My advice to anyone seeking an internship is to apply as soon as you hear about it. Try to get on board as soon as possible. You never know how many people are applying at the same time, and if you wait, it might be too late."

Stay tuned for the release of their incredible summer documentary!

🌟 Tiger Internship Spotlight 🌟

This summer, we're celebrating Tigers gaining real-world experience through internships. Today, we introduce another outstanding student making the most of their opportunities!

Natalie Taylor
🔸 Career Prep: “My summer internship is allowing me to practice my nursing skills while continuing to learn with each patient I encounter. I am developing new and valuable, real-world skills that will help me with my nursing career path. The nurses I am working with are very encouraging and knowledgeable and make themselves available for any questions I may have. I am thankful that the Fort Hays State Nursing Department and Hays Medical Center offer this opportunity for future nurses.”

🔸 Advice: “Take any opportunity that you are given. Challenge yourself. You always have room to learn and can have fun while doing it. Internships are a great way to practice what you already know, while gaining new experiences.”

Stay tuned as we continue to highlight more amazing Tigers and their summer internships! 🐯✨
