The Place: Cracker Barrel in on of the few places that allow overnight parking for travelers. I pulled in at 8:40pm with their 9pm closing time. I rushed in and immediately apologized for my arrival being so close to closing. They didn’t bat an eye, the kindness they showed was superior to most places as they assured me it was their pleasure to have me.

The food and drink: A spiked Strawberry lemonade to ease the muscles after a long hike was just what i needed, Refreshing and did i mention spiked!! I vacuumed down a hearty portion of yummy meatloaf (i love meatloaf) paired with creamy mashed potatoes and fried okra (the good kind yall!)

The stay: there were a couple rvs and a few other travelers and I appreciated the security of knowing that. I slept great 👍 I checked in when arriving and I like to do the same when leaving for my own security and the amazing staff sent me on my way with a hot cup of coffee and a smile on my face.

10/10 recommend will stay and eat again!!

This week I present you Snyder's of Hanover jalapeño ranch pretzels!! Packed full of zesty ranch flavor with a hint of jalapeño. Not at all spicy and just perfect for a hiking snack! This choice brought to you by a smorgasbord of dabs!!

The place: Lamberts Cafe Home Of The Thrower Rolls Ozark, Missouri brings new meaning to hope you have an appetite!! Whether its the rolls flying at ya, the pass arounds sides they share or the enormous amount of food on the place!

The meal i ordered: Brisket special with baby corn and a baked potato all so delicious I couldn’t stop till stuffed so full! Home cooking for the non home cooker 😜
Extra sides: fried orka(the frozen kind 🤦‍♀️) and the best fried potatoes I’ve ever had!!

The 💨: cereal milk

The place:
The Reef Biloxi • Biloxi, Mississippi

The vibe:
Totally laid back and chill!! We were seated on the patio so we could see the water & views were amazing!! They had multiple fans going outside so there was a nice breeze on the deck!! It was super comfortable, even during this heat wave!! Also the tables were adequately spaced so that you weren’t shoulder to shoulder with other guests!!

Drinks:
I have to give them snaps for offering mocktails on their menu!! I think all restaurants should take note and offer some non-alcoholic options!! I ordered ‘The Very Berry’ which was basically a Virgin Berry Daiquiri!! It was good, but nothing mind blowing. I was however thankful for the mocktail option!!

Appetizers:
We started with the ‘Swamp Bread’ which was a sweet cornbread topped with Creole Crawfish Monica & it was DELICIOUS!! The cornbread was cooked to perfection & the Creole Monica was the perfect combination of spicy & creamy!! A must try!!

Entrees:
As for entrees, I had the ‘Bacon Wrapped Pork Fillets’ served with ‘Reef Au Gratin Potatoes’ & my friend had a cup of ‘Banging Biloxi Beach Gumbo’ & a side order of the Cajun Boiled Potatoes!! Both meals were AMAZING!! The pork, which was wrapped in bacon & topped with teriyaki sauce & grilled pineapple, was tender, juicy & flavorful!! The au gratin potatoes were perfectly cheesy, creamy & just plain tasty!! The gumbo was also very good!! Lastly, you can’t go wrong with potatoes boiled in crab boil!! So freaking good!!

We were so full from our meals that we were unable to try the desserts, but there’s always next time!!

Takeaways:
Awesome service!! Great prices!! Delicious food!! Wonderful atmosphere!! 10/10 we highly recommend this spot if you find yourself on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!!

The place:
Oh Snap Selfie Boutique • Hattiesburg, Mississippi

What they offer:
It’s a selfie lover’s dream!! They offer 20 plus vignettes for you to live out your model fantasy!! The backdrops range from classy to extravagant!! They offer 30 minute or 1 hour Selfie Experiences, as well as group rates for parties!! Prices are extremely reasonable for the experience!! It’s a definite must!!

The vibe:
Fun & upbeat vibes all day!! We were greeted by the owner, Angela, who was not only the sweetest but also the most accommodating!! Anything you need, she’s there to help! They even have a hydration station available to quench your thirst, or cottonmouth!! There were party grooves blasting to get you in the mood for your photoshoot!! Plus this place is spacious & welcoming!!!

Takeaways:
We booked a 30 minute experience, which was ample time for a quick mini shoot!! Next time we are definitely going for an hour!! They had crafted an amazing Barbie backdrop that we wanted to pose with before going to see the Barbie Movie!! You have full access to all of the vignettes with your selfie experience!! All backdrops are either lit with a studio ring light, or have one available to light your photos. These lights also have a holder for your phones so you can get the ultimate shot!! We rolled around on the floor, danced & posed the house down!! It was an AMAZING experience!!

10/10 Recommended!! Great for friends, kids, families or anyone else if your life that enjoys getting dressed up & taking photos!! We will DEFINITELY be back!!

The place: Clocker's Cafe
Quiet & cozy, Clockers Cafe has the perfect hometown mom & pop atmosphere. It was really like we opened the door to a diner and entered a time capsule.

The food:
With a menu that could be most easily explained as similar to a Cracker Barrel, I had to try their country fried steak, meatloaf and fried okra, of course!

It was incredible. Everything was seasoned just right. The meatloaf was one of the best I’ve ever had. The country fried steak was incredibly crispy and delicious.

After days of adventure it was the fuel we needed…. To take very solid naps!

… then we adventured quite a bit more. 🤍

Strawberry cheesecake with strawberry bursting boba and condensed milk!! Yall!!! 🤩🤩🤩 10/10 recommend boba in a sno cone!! Its the best thing I’ve had all day!!

Sometimes you need to cool off your beverages on a hot day! I strongly recommend Little Missouri Falls for such a task! Great parking area, restrooms and a short hike to a lovely set of falls. The swimming holes are plentiful.

The place: Rowdy Beaver Den Eureka Springs has just the right amount of dirt on the floor to make you feel at home. And fyi everyone else is sweaty too 😆😬 (those steep road are a workout)

The food: loaded delicately hand breaded to perfection chicken tenders smothered in their famous yummy cheese sauce and scallions.  oh my did it give the jump start i needed to finish climbing those winding streets.

The 💨: Ice Cream Cake

A super awesome stay 👏

Not many dispersed places around Transylvania, but we called ahead and the kind gentleman at the little RV Park offered up a nice spot for us to hammock camp. The moon was fullly shining brightly and set a great mood for a peaceful nights rest!

Also first night in my new hammock/with attached bug netting and its a cherry lifesaver, a real game changer! (carly Pearl)

The place: Green Room, New Orleans, LA is a punkish dive bar with a few booths and a full bar with great idgaf ambiance. Be still my lil stoner heart 💜

The food: The C.B. (Corned beef) sandwich and a delicious phat ass delicious pickle!! By far the best corned beef (that I didn’t cook my myself) anywhere in the South!! No lie this sandwich melted in my mouth, bursting with flavor. I was a stuffed little muchie queen 👸

The service: just what you’d expect when you enter a place like Green Room. Delightfully amAzing all in its own way!!

The 💨: I wish I remembered cause it made for an amazing lunch experience!!

The place: The courtyard provides an Elegant atmosphere with plenty of shade for hot summer days. With a tranquil water feature and an array of lovely greenery, it’s perfect for lunch with friends.

The service: The entire staff from the host to the owner greeted us with joy and excellent customer service. The server, Lisa R. was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.

The drinks: Spiked sparkling basil lemonade, a tart refreshing summer beverage. Lots of lime, and just the right amount of basil and Oaxocon Penicillin, a smooth mix of Reposado, lemon, honey, Mezcal, and a few secret ingredients.  just delightful in the mouth. 

The Salad: Roasted Strawberry Gazpacho: tangy and sweet, lovely mix of strawberries and tomatoes with a delectable rice paper fan to add just the right crunch and a balsamic glaze to balance and bring all the flavors together. A definite party in my mouth!!

The entree: Open face brisket sandwich with a side of mashed potatoes: The sliced thin brisket tender with a nice smoke, a toasted to perfection brioche bun & bbq sauce. BONUS** they give you both buns so one can convert into a handheld sandwich!! The mashed red potatoes with skin melted in my mouth with its rich creamy texture.

The 💨: Blue Face Gusherz Dab
