The Live Music Society offers grants to small music venues in the United States, including the Toolbox grant and the Music in Action grant. The grants help venues improve the experience for musicians, audiences, and staff.
Toolbox grant
Provides up to $10,000 to help venues address practical needs
Helps venues enhance the experience for musicians, staff, and audiences

Music in Action grant
Provides up to $50,000 to help venues engage communities, expand audiences, and boost revenue
Focuses on uplifting historically marginalized groups

Eligibility
Venues must have a sellable capacity of 50–300 people, including for standing room shows

Venues must be located in the United States or its territories

Venues must have a primary focus on live music

Venues must have a minimum of 50 annual music performances

Applicants must be the management or owners of the venue
