A tough but important and interesting read. As a newsroom manager, I fought as hard as I could to get the most for my reporters (in Bangor) and other employees (in Hartford). It's a long ladder, but even the rookies and newbies and college students studying broadcast journalism need to read the writing on the wall. File under: lessons to learn---

Economic realities are forcing TV news organizations to make tough choices with news stars — leading some anchors to exit and others to take pay cuts.

Worth a read--- (AND, Goldberg wrote a wonderful book related to the issue: "Bias: A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News" (2001) that I highly recommend.)
