Knights Baseball Club vs Highlander Baseball Club

A great evening of baseball was played Sunday at the Cabell Midland High School baseball field and all for a great cause! Proceeds from the game will go towards the District 1 LL, Ona-Milton Little League, which suffered from last week’s flooding.

Appalachian Youth Sports attended the District 1 Little League kick off meeting in Barboursville tonight!
District 1 Administrator, Kim Vincent reviewed important dates and laid out expectations for the league presidents. The 2025 season is looking well organized and jam packed full of exciting events!

2025 Notable Rule Changes
Baseball, Softball, Challenger Rule 1.11(j) - Jewelry
Removes Rule 1.11(j) to remove the rule jewelry should be removed. Permitting jewelry to be worn!

Baseball, Softball, Challenger Rule 1.16 Helmet stickers: permits the use of helmet stickers, provided stickers are not offensive and does not make inappropriate references, such as drugs and alcohol.

Baseball, Softball, Challenger Rule 3.01 Pregame inspection: Removes the requirement for umpires to check equipment prior to starting the game placing responsibility for legal and proper equipment on the manager.

Baseball & Softball Rule 3.17 Electronic devices: This change permits a team to use one-way communication to the catcher while the team is on defense.
