Sorry it’s been so long since I posted. But a couple of weeks ago I was attacked by a man that was working for me around my house. We were inside my house when he came at me. I’m 63 he is 30. I’m on disability and he is very athletic. He got me on the ground and started beating on me. If not for my dogs coming in and scaring him, I wouldn’t have been able to get away. But I made it to a 22 revolver I had. He saw the gun and hid behind a chair. He then started to head towards the room he was staying in. Then stopped and turned around. At 15’ away when he turned back towards me, I fired a warning shot 4’ above his head. He went into the room. The dogs and I went into my room and called the police. The police came out and took me to jail for Deadly Discharge of a firearm. A felony offense. And him for a misdemeanor assault. Before going to jail I asked the Sargent to lock my door. He didn’t , but says he did. When I got home, found my door open and over $1000 in cash, my guns and other things had been stolen. Haven’t gotten a lawyer yet, trying to find the money. As of now I’m out $4000+ . Sad thing is, this is rural Texas. I’ve got bruised and broken ribs, swollen bloody eye, and re- injured my hip that I had surgery on 5 months ago. So am back on cane now.
Enough rambling, just wanted to say I’m sorry for not posting the last couple of weeks.
