Did you know Gautier is making history? Congratulations, to our 5A South State Champion Gautier Gators, on your win againt Brookhaven Panthers! The Gator band, cheerleaders, dance team, family, and fans did a phenomenal job cheering you all on to a victory! The final score was 37 Gautier Gators - 35 Brookhaven Panthers.

The Gators will head to our first State Championship Game in school history. Make plans to come cheer them on to VICTORY next Friday night, December 6, 2024, 7:30 p.m. at USM in Hattiesburg, Mississippi!

That’s my friend!! Diane Casanova

The PD had the pleasure of recognizing Diane Casanova with Non Stop Local last night at the City Council session for the Citizens Hero Award, for her part in the de-escalation of a subject armed with a knife back in September. Police had been called to the Kulr8 studio for the individual with a knife and Diane stepped up and assisted in talking with the subject which led to the subject putting down the weapon and receiving the assistance they needed. We at the PD are very thankful for her willingness to assist and proud to present her with this recognition. - Lt. Lennick

I pulled up to this wreck seconds after it happened and do you wanna know what I saw? I saw multiple people running to the aid of the drivers and their (possible) passengers. Wanna know what else I saw? I saw these good samaritans not take into account the following before helping those in need: •financial status •religious views •gender •race •political views •employment history •immigration status They helped because they saw people in need. They helped because they saw other humans. See the human in each other and maybe the world can become a better place 🤍 My thoughts are with those involved in this wreck.

Lori Buhring is the Weekend Sports Anchor and Reporter at WTXL.

Prior to arriving in Tallahassee, Lori reported sports and news in Montana for nearly two years. Before heading to the Northwest, Lori was a news producer for three years in Mississippi.

Lori was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, also known as the Port City, and graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2013 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Whether it’s on a high school field or inside a college stadium, Lori loves shooting all sports and interacting with players and coaches.
