On July 6, 2019, Chance Englebert, 25, went missing in Gering, Nebraska while visiting his in-laws. He was from Moorcroft, Wyoming. Chance had gone with his wife Baylee, and their 3-month-old son to visit her family over the 4th of July holiday, a 220-mile drive.

Once they returned home, Chance was to start a new job with a local propane company with his best friend Matt. He had just been laid off from the coal mine where he worked as a welder when 600 workers were laid off, including his best friend. On Saturday, July 6, 2019, Chance went golfing with Baylee's family.

Chance and Baylee spoke while he was on the golf course, and she said he seemed to be in a good mood. She said that the guys were drinking and having a good time. A short time later, Chance called her back and asked if she could pick him up. When asked why, he said that he was upset over comments about his new job and he wanted to go back to Wyoming.

One of these comments was allegedly over the pay cut that Chance would be taken given the new job. Baylee says that the two of them didn't argue on the drive back to her grandparent's house, but when they pulled into the driveway, Chance got out of the vehicle and walked away. Baylee claims at first she wasn't too concerned because this wasn't abnormal for Chance, to take a walk when he was upset to cool off.

Once out of view, Baylee tried calling Chance, but he didn't answer. So she went looking for him but she couldn't find him. At about 7:46 p.m. Chance finally answered his phone. He told Baylee that he was walking south then hung up.

But security cameras would later capture him walking north. Matt Miller, best friend of Chance's is the last known person to speak with Chance, at around 8:46 p.m. He had asked Matt if he could come pick him up, but with Matt living around four hours away said that he could not be there quick enough, but would try to find a ride for him. Chance told Matt that he planned on walking the 35 miles to Torrington, Wyoming. It's unknown as to why Chance chose this destination.

At 7:49 p.m., Chance was spotted at a Domino pizza walking north towards Scottsbluff by 10th street in Gering.

At 7:51 p.m. Chance was again seen on surveillance camera walking past an apartment complex, appearing to follow map directions on his phone and looking slightly disoriented. He walked in one direction, looked at his phone, then walked the other way. Chance was then spotted again at the intersection of Terry Boulevard and Stable Club Road in Terrytown, Nebraska. This is the last known confirmed sighting of Chance. Which is 4 miles from Gering, Nebraska. After this sighting his phone pinged near the Western Travel Triminal Center in Scottsbluff.

At 9:08 p.m. Chance would text Baylee, who had been trying to get ahold of him since 8 that night. The text would simply say " I'm and then an emoji face" meaning upset. Then he sent a cryptic message to his aunt, that just contained a bunch of random letters. His Aunt Kate would reply with "You are what?" and then with "Are you okay?" but Chance never texted back. This was the last text anyone received. Chance's mother believes that the last two texts were not even sent by her son. She says that her son was not the type to use emoji. The structure of the messages was just not how he would text.

His cell phone last pinged off a tower on County Road 19 near Riverview Golf Course, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, just west of downtown. So at this point, Chance would have walked over 5 miles. A strong thunderstorm blew through Gering around 9:00 p.m. that evening.

The route that Chance seemed to have been walking that evening was near the North Platte River, and with the recent storm that river would have been up.

Baylee and her family thought that maybe Chance had taken shelter inside a business or a nearby building. Baylee's grandfather, drove around looking for Chance, after the storm had passed, but didn't find him.

When he failed to return by the next morning, Baylee notified local law enforcement, and after calls from concerned family and friends, the Gering police department launched into a wide-scale search with the help of 18 specialized agencies, multiple ground, air, and water searches were conducted using drones, divers, helicopters, airplanes, cadaver, and scent dogs. Over 2,400 acres were searched as well as the central Gering canal was drained and 10 bodies of water were searched but no sign of Chance was found. About 150 volunteers from the community showed up along with friends and family to help search for Chance as well.

The following months would bring in multiple tips of possible sightings of Chance in Wyoming and Nebraska, including Casper, Wyoming, where it was said that a man who looked like Chance was attempting to hitchhike along I-25, but by the time police arrived there was no one in sight. Another possible sighting was in a Walmart in Casper, Wyoming. Police followed this lead, reviewed six hours of video footage, and could not confirm that Chance was on the video.

To this day no one has heard or seen Chance. Chance was last seen wearing a short-sleeved button-up Wrangler shirt, dark blue jeans, a belt with a rodeo buckle, old-school Roper boots, and a black-and-white trucker cap. He is 5ft 9in. tall, about 190 lbs with sun-lightened brown hair, a mustache, and a goatee.
There are currently no persons of interest in this case. Baylee and her family have been cooperative and have been investigated. Their properties have been searched by law enforcement.

There is currently a $220,000 reward for information leading to Chance.

On March 4, 2001 Bethany Markowski, 11, would disappear from Tennessee. Earlier that morning Bethany's mother Jonnie spoke with her daughter on the phone. Bethany had used her father's phone to call her mother.

Bethanhy and her father Larry would also visit family in Weakley County, TN. That afternoon Bethany and her father visit the Old Hickory Mall in Jackson, TN. Now her father would claim that he let Bethany walk around the mall alone, while he took a nap in the car.

After his half-hour nap, he goes inside the mall to look for his daughter. But claims that he couldn't locate her anywhere. Around 5:15 pm mall security was alerted, and they looked for Bethany until 6:00 pm. Then the Jackson Police were contacted, but their efforts were unsuccessful as well in locating Bethany.

Since her disappearance and following April 2001, there have been multiple reported sightings of a girl who looks like Bethany. In Southeastern TN, sightings have been reported saying that Bethany was in the company of an unknown woman who attempted to enroll her in school. This same woman and Bethany were also allegedly spotted at a coffee shop in Northern TN.

The final sighting of Bethany and this unknown woman was at a bus station as they boarded a bus bound for Moline, Illinois. They were not seen getting off at the final stop in Moline, but it's possible that they could have gotten off at any stop on the way to Moline, IL.

Where the case stands today.
The case still remains open. Both of Bethany's parents are still considered suspects in her disappearance. Although a stranger abduction has not been ruled out. If you have any information about the disappearance of Bethany Markowski, you are asked to call the Jackson Police Department at 731-425-8400 or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 800-824-3463. Or [email protected].

⚠️ WARNING! GRAPHIC DETAILS!⚠️ Read with Caution ❗

An Amber alert was issued on February 18, 2020, for 15-month-old Evelyn Boswell, out of Blountville, East Tennessee. The problem with this was that Evelyn hadn't been seen in over two months. In fact, it was Evelyn's grandfather who would be the one to report her missing. When police interviewed her mother, Megan Boswell, 19, she would give conflicting stories as to where her daughter was.

One story was that Evelyn was with her father Ethan Perry, 20. But when police looked into this they discovered that Ethan was in Louisiana on military duty. Another story was that Evelyn was with her grandmother in Virginia at a campground. This was also untrue. Megan also would say that her child was alive and well, then say she had no idea where Evelyn was.

On March 6, 2020, Evelyn's b0dy would be found on the Boswell family property. After Evelyn's grandfather, Tommy Boswell, Sr. called the police and asked them to search a storage shed on his property. Inside a shed, they would not only find Evelyn, but they also find toys, diapers, and baby clothes belonging to Evelyn.
An autopsy would show that Evelyn's cause of de@th was asphyxiation.

Evelyn had been "tightly wound" in a fleece blanket to the point that the blanket left imprints on Evelyn's skin, then wrapped in aluminum foil and placed upside down in the trash bag, which was stuffed in the trash can with such force the child's head was pressed backward against her back. She was sort of compressed in the can. Her head was completely tilted backward severely overextended. She was in a distorted fatal position, her facial features were pretty much flattened. Evelyn was alive during this.

Megan Boswell would insist either she or her boyfriend rolled over on the toddler While she was sleeping in their bed causing Evelyn to suffocate.

Later she would say that she knew her daughter was deceased before police found her, but denied responsibility.
Megan Boswell's next hearing has been set for August 15, 2024, it will determine if Boswell's trial is set for February 3, 2025.

On April 22, 2023, Carroll 'Donald' Parkins (78) left his home to go ''shed hunting'' also known as searching for and collecting naturally shed antlers of deer, elk, and moose in the woods near Molalla Forest Road, in Molalla, Oregon. He never returned home. Molalla is about 30 miles southeast of Portland, Oregon.

This place is a rugged forest with thousands of acres, that has the Molalla river winding next to it.

The Sheriff's Office was contacted shortly after midnight on April 23rd when Donald's empty silver Toyota Tundra truck was discovered parked on a gravel pull-out on Molalla Forest Road.

Search efforts began, a search and rescue mission, and teams started looking for Parkins in the area where his truck was found.

Multiple agencies, including Mountain Wave Emergency Communications, Portland Mountain Rescue, Pacific Northwest Search and Rescue, and search teams from the Washington and Multnomah County sheriff’s offices, are involved in the search.

The forest did catch fire a few years back, which burned a lot of the vegetation along the floor of the forest, which made it easier to look for Donald and see down into the forest with drones.

But the forest is still thick and the terrain is rough.

To this day Donald's whereabouts are unknown. Despite continued search efforts by multiple agencies.

Donald may be wearing brown boots, blue jeans, a black-and-white plaid hickory shirt, a brown flannel over-shirt, suspenders, and a black baseball cap with orange on the bill.

Anyone with information about Parkins is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 503-655-8211.

November 8 - 9, 2007
It was a cold winter night in Charlotte, North Carolina, temperature hovered just under the freezing mark. Kyle Fleischmann, 24, would spend the evening with his best friend, Dan, Dan's wife, friend Dom, and Dom's wife. As well as his mother and sister. Catching a Dane Cook show at the local comedy club.

After the show, which ended around 10:00 pm. The friends walked to a bar, which was about a block away in Uptown. His mother and sister went home, as they were tired. They celebrated the birthdays of two of the friends, as well as a career change. There they would mingle with old friends, as well as a few new ones. Kyle would meet an attractive young woman, who he would spend part of the night talking and occasionally dancing with. About 12:30 a.m -1:00 a.m., Kyle's group of friends would head home. Kyle who wasn't ready to end the night.

Told Dan that he would catch a ride back to his house to pick up his car. Dan would later say that, Kyle wasn't intoxicated when he left, and that he was aware of his surroundings. Surveillance cameras would catch Kyle arguing with a man, who is believed to be the boyfriend of the young woman he was dancing with. But this only lasted a few minutes. At 2:18 a.m., Kyle attempted to call his sister while still inside the Buckhead Saloon, but there was no answer. Kyle would leave the Saloon at 2:19 a.m.

Leaving his coat and bank card behind. Although it is believed that he had his keys on his persons. He would walk down N College Street to Fuel Pizza, which was right next to the Saloon. There would grab two slices of pizza and use the restroom. It's unclear whether he ate the pizza inside or left with it in hand. Surveillance cameras would pick him up while walking along a parking deck beside Fuel Pizza.

This is the last known sighting of him. Kyle would make several more phone calls. At 2:42 a.m. He would call a place he had visited earlier that day for business. He would then immediately call his voicemail. Kyle would then call his father three times, in fifteen minutes. He would also call his father's work number. Just to note here; his father was in Raleigh, North Carolina. Which is about 2 and a half hours from Charlotte.

At 3:28 a.m. He calls Dan, this call lasts 4 seconds. Less than a minute later, he calls his roommate, which lasts 6 seconds. This is the last call Kyle would make before vanishing. Out of every call he made, Kyle never left a voicemail.
4:00 a.m. Kyle's phone is either turned off, or the battery has been drained.

Four days later, a taxi cab driver came forward saying he saw Kyle on the night that he disappeared. Walking down North Davidson Street towards Cordelia Park, alone. If true, Kyle would have been walking in the wrong direction of where he needed to be going and into a seedy part of town. Known to inhabit d*ug dealers and members of the v*olent MS-13 gang.
Tracking dogs were brought in and tracked his scent to a construction site.

Today that site is known as the NoDa Apartment Complex. Kyles's father believes that is where Kyle is located.
Kyle was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, jeans and black dress shoes.

On the evening of October 30, 1998, Jake Just (18) would leave his house and meet up with friends at a local residence for a bush party near Midland's Sunnyside neighborhood, in Midland, Ontario, Canada.

Along with drinking, they had been horsing around by breaking beer bottles over their heads.

Then around midnight on October 31st, Jake and a friend left the party, walking home.

On the way home, Jake decided to separate from his friends and take a trail through the woods; while his friends stayed on the lit path along the street.

The two had agreed to meet up at the point where the trail exited to the street. Jake was intoxicated at this point. He would never arrive at the meeting place.

The friends that Jake was with that night said that he had been drinking, then fled into the woods after being chased by a local resident as the party ended.

Now this is just one version of the story.

The second version tells a much different story.

This version alleges that Jake was kicked out of the party for suggesting that attendees smash beer bottles over their heads.

He was blee.ding, so he and his friends sought help at a residence in the area. While in the bathroom, he requested some towels to soak up the bl00d. But then jumped out the window when the homeowners returned.

That is version two.

Later that day, the 31st, Jake's friends called his mother, Debbie looking for him. It was then that Debbie knew something was wrong. By that evening when Jake still hadn't come home, she called the Midland Police Service and reported him missing.

Police focused their initial investigation around the last place Jake was seen: the shortcut through Sunnyside Woods. The search lasted eight days, hundreds of volunteers showed up to help, and friends and neighbors canvassed the surrounding marshes, forest, and geographic area.

Search helicopters with heat-sensing technology, divers, and cadaver dogs were brought in to assist, as the search area was difficult to navigate. Unfortunately, no evidence was uncovered.

In 2001, the case was reviewed and additional searches were conducted. But nothing new surfaced.

Police spoke with over 200 witnesses, trying to piece together what had happened. Two of those individuals were boys he had previously fought with, but nothing led investigators to believe they were involved in Jake's disappearance.

In May 2019, a high school friend of Jake named Dan Gratrix said he had contacted Crime Stoppers and spoken with an Ontario Provincial Police, but that investigators never followed up with him.

He claimed that after Jake managed to walk through the forest, after which he attended a house party on Fourth Street. It was there that he was confronted by local drug dealers and dragged out of the residence, beaten to death, and buried beneath an isolated pier on the shores of Georgian Bay.

Gratrix said that both his friend ( who is reluctant to come forward out of fear of reprisals) and Jake knew who did this and that they still live in the Midland area. He also claimed that Jake sold d.rugs in high school.

Investigators have said they’re aware of the suspects named, but that they never came up in connection with the case.

Jake's mother Debbie had said that she doesn't believe this version of what happened to her son, as it doesn't sound like something Jake would have done.

Numerous tips have been followed up on. Despite this, investigators are no closer to solving the case than they were in 1998.

What happened to Jake Just on October 31, 1998?

On December 1, 2017, Ryan Shtuka, 20, and his best friend arrived at Sun Peaks, British Columbia with plans to spend the winter season there doing some seasonal jobs and snowboarding.

February 16, 2018 - Ryan would leave after work with his roommates to go to the local Pub for a Silent Disco event. Later, they would leave and go to a house party that was in the snow-covered ski resort of Sun Peaks, located just a few minutes from their residence.

February 17, 2018- The roommates decide to leave the party on Burfield Drive around 2:10 am, allegedly Ryan was seen putting on his shoes and coat. The roommates believed that Ryan was right behind them as they departed from the house. But when they turned around, he was nowhere to be seen. The roommates thought that Ryan was either lagging, because of trying his shoes or decided to stay at the party. So they walked home without him.

Which was about a five-minute walk. Ryan would never make it home and hasn't been heard or seen since. Later that day, his roommates filed a missing persons report with the Kamloops Royal Canadian Mounted Police when Ryan missed his scheduled shift at work.

An extensive search would be launched in the area where he was last seen to try and find Ryan. With the help of Kamloops Search and Rescue, as well as volunteer teams, canine units, drones, snowmobiles, and helicopters, no sign of Ryan was found. Police found no signs of foul play.

There has been no activity on his bank account, social media, or cell phone since the day he vanished. His family believes that Ryan will be found in Sun Peaks, as he likely succumbed to the elements. The temperature was in the mid-twenties and the wind was blowing around 10 mph. So it would have felt a bit colder outside.

Ryan was last seen wearing a grey/white shirt, blue coat, dark jeans, and a burgundy ball cap with the logo of the Nor-Wester Athletic Association rugby team.
