As a senior leader and star for Greer Middle College this season, Braylen Silver has been nothing short of gold.

Despite the extra attention from opposing teams, Silver keeps doing his thing.

"Last year, teams didn’t really know who I was... Now they know."

Braylen Silver is averaging 17.1 points per game, stepping into a new leadership role for GMC as they improve to 10-3 on the season.

After Blue Ridge basketball games, you'll often see one person who stays long after the final buzzer sounds, picking up trash in the bleachers.

That's sophomore Blue Ridge guard Opal Maralit.

Opal Maralit is leading Blue Ridge (6-2) in almost all statistical categories this season. Her character, however, is what she cares about most of all.

No longer a sixth man, Sebi Boyogueno has stepped into a much bigger role for Riverside this season.

His Warriors are 5-1 this season with three OT wins. Boyogueno is "the guy" now. And he's loving it.

"I've been waiting for this my whole life."

Riverside basketball is flying high to begin the season, thanks in large part to junior guard Sebi Boyogueno. Boyogueno has stepped into a bigger role for the Warriors this season.
