The site merges the best characteristics of both record labels and crowd funding platforms, providing independent musicians the financial means and professional backing to produce and market high-quality releases, while maintaining their complete creative freedom and copyright ownership of their works. Unlike other crowd funding platforms that focus entirely on the funding aspect of creative projects and leave the production and promotion of the end product entirely to the artist, Hooked X Rex brings professional experts to support the entire production, promotion, and release of their project. T-Rex provides fans with a personal experience on the site, offering them project recommendations based on their personal taste in music. Fans can then support the music they discover by purchasing exclusive project items to fund the production of the project. Once a project goes into production, fans are encouraged to help promote the project and its release by spreading the word on their social networks.
