Hey Nerd Con Nation, We are very excited to announce our next guest for Nerd Con Can't Loose. The Adventurous Star of "Parker Lewis Can't Lose" and "Adventures in Babysitting" Maia Brewton.

Maia is really friendly and great to talk to. The fans of Nerd Con are going to love her. Check out her bio below.

Maia Brewton was born on 30 September 1977 in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is best known for her roles as the Mighty Thor-obsessed Sara Anderson in the 1987 film Adventures in Babysitting, and as Shelly Lewis, the antagonistic sister of the title character on the Fox Network show Parker Lewis Can't Lose, from 1990 to 1993.

In 1985, she appeared in Back to the Future as Sally Baines, the younger sister of Marty McFly's mother Lorraine Baines. She then played Margaret Ann Culver in the short-lived 1985 television series Lime Street, starring Robert Wagner and Samantha Smith. After her role in Adventures in Babysitting, she played one of the children in the 1990 TV movie with Robert Mitchum which was the basis for the series A Family for Joe, and co-starred in the 1990 TV movie Sky Trackers with Pamela Sue Martin. This was followed by her run on Parker Lewis Can't Lose.

Her other television credits during the late 1980s include appearances on 21 Jump Street, Highway to Heaven, Trapper John, M.D. and The Wonder Years.

Dear TerrorFest Family,

With much thought and consideration, we regret to announce the cancellation of this year's 2024 TerrorFest that was scheduled for October 5th & 6th at Southern Star Brewing Company. This is the first time we have ever canceled an event, and it is a decision we do not take lightly. All tickets and vendor spots have already been processed and fully refunded. At Silverback Events, we pride ourselves on hosting the most exciting and memorable experiences possible. For those of you who have joined us in the past, you know how we roll. From the first Battle of the Bands judged by real rockstars to our short horror film featuring celebrities and attendees, TerrorFest has always been a weekend party like no other.

Why are we canceling this year?

There were many challenges that led us to this decision. When it comes to creating a special event like TerrorFest, numerous elements must align perfectly behind the scenes. While some of these factors are within our control, many are not. Ultimately, we realized that if we cannot guarantee a stellar experience, we would rather cancel than risk delivering a mediocre event. Our reputation for hosting unforgettable experiences is something we take very seriously, and we are committed to upholding that standard. Simply put, the stars were not aligning closely enough to our expectations, and we made the difficult choice to cancel this year.

Will TerrorFest continue next year?

That remains to be seen. Several factors will need to be considered before we make any decisions about the future of TerrorFest. If we do return, you can be sure it will be even bigger and better than before. We have multiple plans in place, whether TerrorFest comes back or not. We appreciate your understanding and support during this time. Thank you for being a part of the Silverback Events family, and we hope to see you soon—whether at future events or beyond.

Fun fact. Wolf spiders will hunt and eat brown recluse spiders (also known as fiddlebacks), in addition to venomous black widow spiders, cockroaches, crickets, beetles and silverfish.
