Happy to announce yet another label partnership. I have signed a track to Trip Records, and we see this as the beginning to many more releases in the future.

Lots of articles have come out recently with old timer DJ's whining, crying, complaining, and moaning about the popularity of electronic music in 2024 and where the global scene is at today. I have to say to all of them - shut the hell up and stop gatekeeping. In 2000-2001, when I heard and understood electronic music for the first time, up until 2010, I could have only DREAMED of it being widely accepted, celebrated, and saught after. There were practically zero career paths, being a DJ was very obscure, it was difficult to buy high-quality music unless you had an "in" with a record store - I know this because I would have to special order music from overseas to get what I was looking for in my little Indiana town. In addition to the high barrier of entry, anyone under the age of high school graduation would be easily made fun of for listening to "robot-ear music" outside of your little group of raver weirdos.

This is not a toxic positivity post—I'm not the kind of person to dismiss criticism just because I want good vibes. This is a message to people who thought they would always have a scene on lock by default, that they would always be the star, and that their knowledge would be safely kept away from newcomers. It's a wide-open playing field now, and your time is limited. Keep crying.

Wow—more music is coming out on 8/9/24! These two tracks will be out on a label called One of Those Days, a sublabel to The Audio Atelier. Both labels are frequently supported by Hernan Cattaneo and other prominent progressive house DJs. They are a small but focused group of curators, and I was impressed with the consistent artwork and quality of music, as well as the support on 1001 tracklists. I am happy to be a part of their artist roster. pre-save here: www.linktr.ee/subtractivemusic

Coming soon 8.9.24
Two tracks I wrote while I was involved with Guy J's short lived but fun music producer's patreon during the lockdowns in 2020. It's time they see the light of day and get a new life!

On New Year's Eve 2024 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, I orchestrated a one-of-a-kind DJ set that brought the vibrant and dynamic sounds of Europe and Latin America to the heart of the Midwest. This unique mix, filled with melodic techno, progressive house, and deep/dark trance, is a fusion of styles that currently dominate the global club scenes outside of the USA.

Tracks like Vakabular and Red Machine's "Turn Off The Heat" and Khainz's "The Drift" set an electrifying tone. At the same time, Anyma's "Explore Your Future (Extended Mix)" and Kevin de Vries' "Dance With Me" introduced a sense of mystery and euphoria. The mix continued to build with powerful beats and hypnotic rhythms from artists like Duke Dumont, Nathan Nicholson, and Matt Fax, showcasing the future of rave culture with Airsand and TuraniQa's "Rave Is The Future" and Modern Brothers' "Unhole."

By bringing these worldly sounds to Kalamazoo, I aimed to represent and share Europe and Latin America's rich, diverse musical landscapes. This set celebrated cultural exchange, bridging the gap between continents through the universal language of music and offering a unique experience to a college town audience typically more familiar with the sounds of nearby Chicago and Detroit.
