Engine 2 responded to a vehicle fire in front of the Arc Thrift Store last night. PD’s co-responder unit dumped an extinguisher on the fire prior to 2’s arrival.

At 0955 on Saturday January 10, 2026 the Grand Junction Fire Department was dispatched for a multi-family structure fire at the 29 Mile Apartments, 2915 Orchard Avenue, for reports of alarms sounding and smoke showing from Building H. Additional information reported a possible oven fire and one person possibly still inside. Law enforcement arrived and reported a smoke filled apartment and began evacuating additional residents. Engine 2 arrived on scene of a 3-story multi-family structure with smoke showing, declaring a working fire in the offensive strategy, pulling a 1 3/4 for fire attack. Knockdown was reported within minutes of arrival.

Saturday December 13th, celebrated the achievements of the Aspen/Carbondale Fire & EMS programs with a ceremony held at Carbondale Fire’s administration center. Some remain unaffiliated while others have landed positions at local departments.

At approximately 01:35 Sunday morning, Clifton Engine 21 was dispatched to the area of 3080 Shadowbrook Ct for a residential fire alarm activation via alarm company. Enroute, the call was upgraded to a residential structure fire with a caller on scene reporting smoke and fire from the crawlspace. Engine 21 arrived to SS/SFD with light smoke showing and pulled a line for fire attack. Grand Junction was mutual aided and assisted with fire attack and overhaul. One patient was evaluated on scene.

At 15:45 on November 12th, the Clifton Fire District was dispatched for a motor vehicle fire at the Clifton Christian Community School, 3240 I-70B Fr Rd. Engine 21 & Ambulance 21 arrived to an older Jeep Cherokee with active fire from the engine compartment. Engine 21 pulled a line for fire attack and had knock within seconds.

At 15:39 the Grand Junction Fire Department was toned for multiple reports of a garage fire on Overlook Drive. A header could be seen around the corner from the address near station 3 confirming a working incident. Engine 3 arrived on scene as first engine and initiated fire attack. Fire appeared to be held to mostly the attached garage.
