Now that I have your attention, when was the last time you had fun?

It’s easy to get so wrapped up in logistics that we forget the reasons we chose something different.

Usually, it boils down to living a happier and more fulfilling life. For me, it was the freedom and flexibility to make my own schedule. READ: work from wherever and be a dog mom.

SO, go out (or stay in) this weekend. Remind yourself why you’re a badass and love what you do 💪

On June 7 and 8, Emmy award winning artist James Gayles is teaching a watercolor workshop at the Sierra Arts Foundation in Reno! Learn more at the link in my story and link in bio 😉

In this Workshop, participants learn anatomy, the proportions of features, how to do shadows and highlights and how to portray emotions.

Next, they will focus on basic watercolor techniques, including how to shade tone, separate light from dark and do different types of washes, blending of color, and color glazing.

I have wanted a nice desk chair for YEARS, but it was hard to justify the cost.

Then I began looking at what not having it was costing me:
📍money and time at the chiropractor
📍cutting days short due to back discomfort and pain
📍productivity from sharing space
📍having a generally healthy spine‼️

Now, go out and set yourself up for success ✅

IT'S OKAY TO HAVE FUN!

On business social media accounts, we frequently choose to make our profile photo our business's logo and the account name our business's name.

We proceed to post rather serious content about what's going on in our business, upcoming shows, anticipated moves, etc.

Despite our hard work, we end up with relatively low engagement rates. Yet, we keep creating content like this and seeing the same results. We continue this cycle because this is how professionals communicate.

SOCIAL👏MEDIA👏IS👏NOT👏EMAIL

Having fun with your socials DOES NOT mean that you have an unprofessional social media presence. It just gives your business a personality!

If you need someone to give you permission, here it is: IT'S OKAY TO HAVE FUN WITH YOUR BUSINESS'S SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT.

Make sure its on brand and has something to do with what your business does, but you can laugh, smile, play silly trending audios, and so much more!

Remember: FUN IS INFECTIOUS. If you're having fun when you create content, chances are your audience is having fun watching it 👌

All businesses start somewhere. Shop small and support small businesses when possible. Even though we love good brands, remember that supporting small businesses means helping families and individuals pursue their dreams, rather than helping a wealthy board member earn another bonus.
