From the management company for greenbriar II; the annual board meeting and election for the replacement board member that will be vacant is scheduled for December 10th. I am running for the board position.

Dear Greenbriar II Homeowners:

The Annual Community and Election Meeting for the Greenbriar at Thornbury II Community Association will be held on Tuesday December 10, 2024 at 6:00 PM in the Thornbury Township Building, 6 Township Road, Cheyney PA 19315.

The purpose of the meeting is to elect (1) owner to the Board for a term of office of two (2) years. The term that Thomas Maffetone has filled is currently up for election. Thomas has been a board member for several years and will not be running for another term. A big thank you, to Tom! His leadership, contributions and commitment to the community have been invaluable.

The Board will also be discussing old and new association business. Any owner who is interested in serving on the Board, may fill the electronic nomination form using the following link: https://forms.gle/xjYEhTVjzDa1B9zz8

To the woman in the Honda Rav4 who honked and cackled at me this evening “ I saw you taking down signs”; yes you did see me taking down my real estate signs as is required at the end of an open house (illustration below).

Every weekend I do an open house here in and these same signs are put up, and then taken down by yours truly (for the past 20 years I’ve been selling homes here).

Apparently she thought different and did not notice the large bold white lettering “Open House” with my name also on it as well as the REALTOR themed license plate and frame on my truck, and also did not notice the numerous political signs still in place as they have been for the past weeks in the same location.

Rant over, but I sure hope the woman is on here, sees this post and uses a bit more thought and common sense next time around before harrassing a hard working REALTOR just doing his job for my home seller client and trying to make a living.

I found this in our driveway today; how they managed to get a nail this far over is beyond me but seems very careless. Ive learned to constantly visually sweep our driveway thanks to this roofing and gutter project but am perplexed that roofing nails are ending up this far away from the roofers working

I saw this posted on another page and had to share; I've seen this a lot lately for some reason. I'm sure these drivers have the best of intentions but it results in a potentially dangerous situation when drivers volunteer to yield their right of way (and assume to do the same for other drivers behind them and in other passing lanes of traffic completely disregarding the rules of the road). I've seen this a lot lately....to those doing this - please stop. Follow the rules in place for all of our safety. Refer to the drivers manual for any questions.

Be on the lookout for stray roofing nails; I was blessed with this gift after driving through Greenbriar. Two different tires are punctured with roofing nails. One can be patched but the other cant due to the location of the puncture.

For those hitting the ocean and waves this summer.
This is really simple. You can spot a rip current. Unfortunately, it's where it looks easiest and safest to enter the sea. This is because the rip current is looping around and pulling back OUT. Hence no waves rolling IN. NEVER ENTER THE SEA HERE. If you are already in the sea and get caught in a rip current (you'll know because you will suddenly be moved from your location and it will be impossible to swim against it) don't panic. Swim ACROSS, not against the rip current. For example, rather than trying to swim to shore while being pushed out, swim parallel to the beach and you will be able to get out. Then you can swim ashore. Please educate friends or family visiting the beaches this summer. Stay safe
