After a somewhat lengthy absence (don’t ask why — you really don’t want to know), The World According to Yoni is back with friend of the show, Dwayne Epstein, author of the new Amazon Best-Seller, Killing Generals: “The Making of The Dirty Dozen,” a wonderful follow-up to his last book (and NY Times Best Seller), “Lee Marvin: Point Blank.”

There are also a few changes to the show and a number of surprise guests coming up over the next few months, you will not want to miss.

Where In the World Is Yoni?

NEW (Dateline May 21) Having received several dozen queries from fans of The World According To Yoni (if you’re wondering, Yoni didn’t know he had fans, either) enquiring as to Yoni’s whereabouts since his March live-cast, Yoni has asked me to inform everyone who has asked — as well as those who haven’t — yes, he’s still very much alive, and the show will be returning within the next few weeks.

Shortly after his last broadcast, Yoni took a tumble down the stairs of his townhouse, knocking himself out in the process. He was rushed by ambulance to an emergency trauma center where it was determined he had sustained a nasty concussion (not surprising although, is there such a thing as a good concussion?) and was suffering bouts of extreme vertigo. He also broke his right hand, his left pinky, had contusions on his head and body, and a hairline fracture of his left hip.

For those who know Yoni, it will come as no surprise that wasn’t the end of it. As he began to recover, Yoni found himself wracked with massive migraines, coughing jags, sore throat, extreme fatigue, fever and chills, and several other symptoms I’d prefer not to mention. Although he tested negative for Covid, the symptoms persisted.

When Yoni found himself too weak to move from his bed, he finally broke down and went to a nearby Urgent Care facility. He sent me a copy of the diagnosis, which, in certain respects is somewhat absurd, so I would like to quote it verbatim. He was informed 1) He had an acute upper respiratory infection; 2) Contact with and (suspected) exposure to COVID-19.

He was given a prescription, told to go home and go to bed, rest, and stay in bed until he felt better. Yoni being Yoni, he had the prescription filled. And while he did return home, I believe it’s fair to say, he ignored the rest of his doctor’s orders. This is the perfect example of why those of us who know and love him, also want to thrash the bloody hell out of him at times. Tanya stands first in that line.

In any event, Mr. Marten is finally on the mend, and almost ready to begin broadcasting new episodes of The World According To Yoni. The show will return in early June with his guest, Dwayne Epstein, author of the NY Times best-seller, "Lee Marvin, Point Blank," who is currently at work on his new book, an inside look at the making of the classic WWII film, "The Dirty Dozen."

Also coming in June, the special, second anniversary World According To Yoni. I don’t know who his guest is going to be as Yoni is being quite secretive, but I’ve been told it’s going to be a very special show. Please keep watch here for additional information.

This is particularly meant for all our friends in the entertainment industry, although it applies to you even if you're not in the industry. I'm very excited to share this. Please do read on.

My name is Christopher Korman, son of Harvey Korman, and Co-Executive Producer of what I believe to be a life affirming, soul enriching comedy, "Euphoric Tendencies." Based on the Off-Broadway stage play by Tanya Marten (who also wrote the screenplay), and directed by her husband, Jonathan (Yoni to his friends and family), this piece was created by two people I believe to be brilliant, peerless, artistic talents.

Rarely, in my life’s travels, have I come across two people who possess an innate creative/artistic simpatico, that reminds me of the teamings of Carol Burnett and Joe Hamilton, as well as Mary Tyler Moore and Grant Tinker.

As Co-Executive Producer of this upcoming film, I’d like to invite anyone reading this, to a Virtual Screening of Tanya’s Off Broadway hit, "Euphoric Tendencies," shot live, in-performance, in New York City. We are hosting this invitation-only screening, prior to entering the pre-production phase of the show’s feature film version.

This virtual event will be broadcast via a private YouTube channel, on Saturday, January 29th, at 9pm EST / 6pm PST. Immediately following the screening, we will also be hosting a lively Q&A between the playwright/screenwriter and co-star of the show, the show’s director, and the audience, on Zoom. The Zoom link will be found in the comments section of the broadcast. Please note: Zoom limits us to 100 people, so entrance to the Q&A will be on a first come, first served basis.

We are hosting the screening of this kinky romantic comedy, which, as Tanya and Yoni like to remind me, is a play caught on tape — NOT a film, because our production company, Soular Films, is currently seeking producing partners, potential investors, and talent, to help us get the feature film version of "Euphoric Tendencies" into production. We’re also inviting a larger audience — both within and without the industry — to see the show, to help generate excitement for the film version. That being the case, if you know anyone else you think may be interested, who you’d like to share this invitation with, feel free.

The Story
Beth Moss is a writer with a severe case of writer’s block, not helpful when trying to finish your first novel. Bored with her own life, she becomes fascinated with her new roommate, Mina, an effervescent, free-spirited, bisexual. Taking Beth under her wing, Mina helps Beth plunge headfirst into a world that includes erotic novels, fe**sh clothing, bisexuality, and the consensual adult spanking scene. The newly unblocked Beth finds she can’t stop writing about her new experiences — albeit the writing is done in her personal journal — where she fills the pages, detailing her new, exciting experiences. After a series of these new adventures, Beth is given the opportunity to publish her journal, and must make a decision — does she keep this unusual life of hers private, or share it with the world? In the process, she finds her true self, her muse, and a more fulfilling life than she could ever have imagined.

There were some technical glitches with sound at the beginning, but that was fixed fairly quickly, and the show proceeded according to plan (and Yoni). If anything, Yoni was even more passionate in expressing his views than usual, assuming one is able to believe that's possible. 26 years in the making, White Buffalo follows four Jewish brothers, as they trace the meaning of a prophecy that's been part of the culture of numerous Indigenous Nations, which will herald the dawn of a new age for the human race. The film begins and ends with the Lakota account of White Buffalo Calf Woman's appearance, and the prophecy of her return.

"White Buffalo" is more than informational and entertaining; the filmmakers' goal is to provide our audience with vital tools and resources to help motivate individuals in their own personal journey of awakening, and to cast off the shackles of fear. It's our desire and intention that "WHITE BUFFALO: An American Prophecy" may represent a small contribution to a spiritual acceleration of the planet and all its inhabitants.
