Hey Everyone!!!! Hope you all are having a great day today? We are making our official event notice today for the December 14th which will be (THIS COMING SATURDAY!!!!!!) Christmas event at Museum of The Waxhaws. The event will showcase some of the ways that Christmas (the holidays) were celebrated in the 18th and 19th centuries.

*****It will consist of several things such as Lantern tours of the Homestead, The Mecklenburg Militia, a speech by Reverend William Martin, and you will be able to see Living Historian William Young cook recipes from the time period (Beef Stew, Roast, Stewed Apples, etc).*****

So you will be able to have a fantastic experience and be able to get into the Christmas spirit. And what’s so nice is that you are less than 2 minutes from downtown Waxhaws NC.

EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!

Hey everyone!!!! Hope everyone is having a great day today and enjoying this fine weather?!?!

Anyways, we have a special announcement to make. We will be having an event at The Museum of the Waxhaws and it’s going to be a blast!!!! They are having a Christmas event that will be based on 18th and 19th Century holiday traditions with a modern touch. For this event, you will enjoy a lantern tour through the decorated historic homestead while enjoying a nice hot cup of coco or cider. To add, they will have a live performance by Reverend William Martin that will be enjoyed on site. And they will be having a silent auction fundraiser through yhe museum as well.

Last but not least………While completing the lantern tour of the decorated homestead, you will be able to enjoy the smells of the holiday spirit by Historic Hearth Cook William while he demonstrated different food ways from the 18th and 19th centuries.

So come on down and enjoy the festivities at Museum of The Waxhaws. — with Mariel Soucy Cooke and 31 others at The Museum of the Waxhaws.
