Keep our first responders in your thoughts today.

We provide the most used scanner feeds in Gastonia County. Please remember, we have two separate feed options posted in our featured posts- one with selectable talk groups so you can filter out broadcasts for your area or specifically what you want to hear.

Code is now extended though the end of the year. Not sure if I will be able to keep the service free after that as hosting/equipment costs start to add up. The Broadcastify feed will remain free indefinitely. Thanks!

Finally got the domain forwarding fixed! You should have no problems using the customizable feed linked in our featured posts section.

I’m also wanting to gauge interest in setting up something similar to the project below.

It would automatically transcribe the calls and allow users to view the call transcripts via a website as they roll in.

Let me know via comments or likes if this is something you’d like to see added to our list of features.

In this video, I show how I've taken my SDR-Pi police scanner from audible to textual with AWS Transcribe. The quality is not great yet, but I plan to improv...

We are back up and running!

Sorry for the downtime. We would have had services restored sooner but we spent our evening assisting the community cutting down trees and clearing roads.

We will be setting up a power bank for future emergency operations to ensure we have zero downtime.

Just a reminder- we operate this service at no cost to community. It takes time and personal funds to provide it.
There are times that we can’t immediately resolve issues, but we try our best to accommodate our followers. Please be civil when we go down. Thanks to all of the kind words from the rest.

Stay safe GC, another band of storms should be rolling in overnight.

Our broadcast center has lost power. We will have the scanner feed restored as soon as we can.
If it remains down for longer than 30 mins will switch to generator power.
Stay safe out there.

2:48 pm ET: STAY WEATHER AWARE; this storm has a long history of golf ball size hail and 70 mph winds. Make sure you are seeking shelter ahead of this storm.

Don’t forget to try out our new interactive scanner!

With this new service you will have the ability to interact with the scanner, see the alpha tag of the broadcaster and select the broadcasts you want to hear while tuning out the ones you don’t.

This new service has zero delay, unlike the 15-20 second delay on the Broadcastify feed we provide.

You can also replay the last call if you missed anything.
If something interesting happens you can hold on the talkgroup that is broadcasting. Tons of cool stuff being added.

You can access it at www.gastonscanner.com or by downloading the free RDIO Scanner app in the App Store.

URL for app: http://gastonscanner.com
Password is: scan

Click “LIVE FEED” once connected to begin hearing the broadcasts.

Enjoy!

Extending free services for the rest of the year. Hope everyone enjoys!
Thanks for the continued support.
