No matter what you do, people will talk.

The day I accepted this fact, I do whatever that makes me happy as long as I’m not harming anyone in the process of living life.
As a content creator, I’d carry my followers along in whatsoever I choose to show and tell them. If you know me before in Nigeria, and can’t comprehend why life is so good for me now or why I choose to vlog my life, food et al (which I haven’t even started yet) look and pass. Just because you used to know someone’s crawling stage doesn’t mean they will forever be crawlers. Run your own race and stop poking your noses where it does not belong.
Life is not hard, human beings make it so. 😊

Try to stay far away from people that try to ridicule you every chance they get. People like that feel inferior to you, and if you don’t know who you are, will be defeated.

People say marriage is hard work- I agree, but what I don’t get is when they make it seem like it is a war zone, that is devoid of every inkling of fun. My African people, especially the ‘religious’ leaders, make that institution too serious for my liking, and that’s the scary part. Should we Africans be relearning and unlearning certain societal myths about that institution or it is what they say it is?

I pray that I am a different parent who will do the opposite of this. Some of our Parents didn’t know better, so the onus is on us to change things, but I will not trash discipline when it is needed. There is a difference between discipline and abuse. If a child deserves discipline, that child will get it, and then be corrected with love.
There is a foundation to build, and it has to be solid in order for it not to break or fall when storms arise.

I love kids and I don’t waste any time to show affection where necessary, even if it means buying little sweet treats for them whenever I can.
So I bought two packs of this cookies for my landlord’s kids and went to give her, she was elated and said that I can give it to them. I sha learned the hard way that Caucasian kids are not Nigerian kids 😂🤣
Where I come from, kids are thought to receive gifts and thank the person, even if the child doesn’t want it. Take the item and maybe trash it if you don’t trust the person giving your child stuffs.

Anyway, I gave the girl one pack which she accepted, surprisingly, because she never accepts anything I give to her.
Then, I went to give the boy a pack, he refused it. I told him to go show his mom, because she approves that he can take it. He ran to his mom and threw it on her and ran away. Omo, I just weak.

The other day I gave him pizza, he looked at the pizza and said “ewwwww and yuck 🤮” to tell you the truth I was hurt . In my head, I was saying “if to say na Naija you Dey ehn, you for know something” 😂🤣
Anyway, if you are abroad, please keep your gifts to yourself, because e be like say dem no Dey accept things from people anyhow for here.

I can’t really wrap my head around why they reject whatsoever I give to them, because these are things typical kids like, and their mother even buys it for them, because they have sweet tooth.

Also, this is one reason I miss my niece and nephew, or other Naija kids, they will gladly accept it and request for more. 🤣😂
Anyway, that’s cultural difference for you.

Thanksgiving extension. 🥹
I came back home this morning, after a lovely time with friends yesterday to my lovely and amiable Landlord offering me this. It doesn’t look appealing to the eyes, but if you have a bite you will not share 😅 (joking). In all, I didn’t expect to have such a nice time for Thanksgiving, but this is one of the many reasons to be thankful. ☺️

Throwback to when my face was almost ruined, but God is bigger than them. 🤣😂
Preparing for my mothers burial, I travelled to my village with a beautiful, silky and smooth face. On the burial day, one man who is known to be my fathers PA in the village used handkerchief to wipe my face claiming there was something on it. Despite the fact that I told him that I can clean whatever that’s there, that I don’t like anyone touching my face, he adamantly insisted on cleaning my face. In innocence and for the fact that he was close to the family, I allowed him to. Afterwards, it didn’t take up to 1 week my face started reacting, itching and paining me. The next time I ll be looking at a mirror, I saw these boil-like pimples on my face. At first, I thought it’s just pimple, before I could say jack it turned to what you are seeing in the picture. Mind you, I didn’t change my cream or soap, I rarely do that.

Wondering what could be the problem, even if it was reaction from contaminated water, why was I the only one? In retrospect, I remembered my encounter with my fathers PA. I battled this thing for months, thinking it was something that will go away in no time. I bought all sorts of things for my face, it only got worse.
I had to go spiritual o 🤣😂 funny but it was not funny at the time. I prayed fire and brimstone, because the cause could come from anywhere. Who knows 🤷‍♀️
Long story short, it cured miraculously.

The next time I saw the man I had an encounter with in the village, he couldn’t look me in the face o. This is someone that was so playful with me whenever he comes around the house.

Learn from my story, don’t let anyone touch your child anyhow in the name of family friend, relative etc.
Don’t let anyone touch your head or face. You are not handicapped.
Pray without ceasing.
