Adopt Paulie! He is around 1.5 yrs old and 90 pounds. Paulie is a bundle of love and joy, proudly rocking his Great Pyrenees charm. His has a big heart and is ready to shower you with all the sweetness and affection a family could want.

He loves to be petted and will walk right up to any stranger he sees, showing them his wagging tail and his head ready to be petted. Paulie loves everybody and just wants to say hi to the world and be everyone’s friend.

He is gentle with kids. Taking treats with the utmost gentleness is his signature move.

He loves playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He enjoys going to dog parks to play with as many dogs as he can. Playful play bows are his way of saying, "Let's have some fun!" He would do best in a home with a backyard and a dog that will play with him.

He is house trained. He is leash trained and loves going for long daily walks. He hasn’t barked much in foster care. He is crate trained but is not a big fan of it, with lots of whining to remind you of that. He is still getting used to riding in a car. He jumps right in, but drools nervously.

Paulie is on the lookout for a loving family that can give him the tender loving care and attention he deserves. If you're ready for a devoted companion to fill your days with warmth and play, he’s your boy, eagerly waiting for you.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $250 for dogs 1-7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. Cass update: He’s turned the corner and is doing much better after a few rounds of I.V. fluids and antibiotics. He’s eating and drinking without the need for an appetite stimulant. He’ll be on the mend for the next few weeks but he’s already found his voice and was running around with foster Lola in the yard yesterday 💙

Cass is a 3yr old male Great Pyrenees recently rescued off the euthanasia list at DAS. After arriving at his foster home, he was not eating, not drinking, coughing and having congestion, a trip to urgent care later and he was diagnosed with pneumonia. He scared us for a minute but we are so glad he’s doing better now.

Adopt Rupert! Almost 3 yrs old, this gorgeous, happy boy is small for the Great Pyrenees breed and weighs around 70 pounds.

Rupert is charming and popular. He loves people and getting lots of loving attention. He adorably comes right up to you and puts his head or chin on your lap to get affection.

Rue still has the playful energy of a young Pyrenees. He loves playing with other canines, and he gets along great with the other large dogs in his foster home. He would do great in a home with other dogs that will play with him and keep him company.

He would do best in a home with a backyard where he can play when he’s not indoors cuddling with you. If he is an only dog, he needs lots of human time and needs to join lots of family adventures.

Rupert is fully house trained. He is leash trained and loves going on walks. He is crate trained, although isn’t a huge fan of going into one unless there is food in there. He loves chewing on Nylabones.

He knows sit and come, especially when treats are a possibility. He does great in the car, and happily jumps up into the vehicle when it’s time to go for a ride.

At mealtime we feed him separately from the other dogs, because he is a very hungry boy and will try to take their food.
