Good news! Future is now projected to miss the southeast coast by taking a hard right just ahead of landfall. Despite what you have seen on Facebook from other pages, things are looking a lot better. This doesn’t mean the threat is zero, but it’s looking better.

Soon-to-be TS or Hurricane could impact the southeast US coastline late this weekend into early next week. Storm is expected to form this weekend near the Bahamas & then potentially track northwest towards the southeast coastline. Current computer model data suggest the storm could be a category 2 or 3 as it nears the coastline. This is HIGHLY subject to change. Further updates will be provided as necessary. This is a very preliminary forecast to provide ample time to prepare. Local impacts are yet to be determined. Stay tuned & God bless!

At AWS, we refrain from posting computer model images on our page due to their frequent changes, which can cause unnecessary public anxiety. We prioritize accuracy and stick closely to reality when it comes to potential storms. While posting model images could generate more clicks and revenue, we value public trust over monetary gain. This is our commitment to you. Take care and God bless. -Meteorologist Graham

The National Weather Service has issued a **FLOOD WATCH** for the entire area until 2am on Wednesday morning. A strengthening area of non-tropical low pressure will impact the area over the next 24-36 hours, producing widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms that could lead to areas of flooding. Widespread amounts of 1-2 inches of rain are expected, with some areas receiving up to 3 inches. If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and do not attempt to cross. Roadway flooding is especially hazardous at night when it’s harder to recognize.
