I collect vintage ephemera and created some books for crafting using them. One of them is proving very popular in Europe. In the last few days, I had one order from England and three from Germany. I hope they enjoy the photos as much as I do.

Before National Women's History Month ends, I have to do a "shout-out" about Framingham's Former St. Rep. Barbara E. Gray: Battered Wive's Syndrome Defense, Gay Rights/Women's Rights, No-Fault Divorce, Sexual Harassment, Prevention of Elder Abuse, Breast Cancer Insurance, The Good Samaritan Law, Anti-Discrimination, Seatbelt and Bike Helmet Laws...all causes and legislation championed by Framingham’s St. Rep. Barbara Gray ahead of the curve. She was the mother of four who co-founded the Framingham League of Women Voters, was the first woman elected to the Framingham Planning Board and rose to leadership in a Massachusetts State House dominated by males. Barbara Gray spent 24 years in the State House, but when first elected in 1972, she was one of only eight women among the 240-member body. Sen. Ed Markey served in the Mass. Legislature with her and said: “Everyone of us had our consciousness raised like an elevator by Barbara Gray, and we are better men for it!”
Roasted locally by bombastic talk show hosts for some of her positions, she appeared on national television with Phil Donohue and Tom Bergeron (when he was a talk show host.)
