Being Someone’s Motivation

Being someone’s writing motivation is VERY flattering! Knowing that YOU can motivate someone to greatness is an AMAZING feeling! And sometimes you don’t even realize that you can motivate someone so deeply; just by some of the small things that YOU do.

People watch you, and don’t always say anything. If someone is taking a page from you, that means that you are being noticed. And that’s good!

But sometimes, it can be dangerous! Sometimes people take it TOO far! Plagiarism, hate speech, revenge, and libel. AND of course, people who say that they’re on your side, really aren’t.

Don’t be spiteful; And as the Gospel singer, Norman Hutchins says, “God’s got a blessing with your name on it!”

Another great saying from the group Miami Mass Choir states, “What GOD has for ME, IT IS for ME.”

You don’t have to overdo it. Your blessings will come and they will flow. Just be faithful to yourself and your craft. You WILL get there! We know it!

Just do and be you.

Writing a Fitness Blog

So, you’ve decided that you want to write about fitness. That’s good! And now, you want to know how to get started. Well, there are a few things that you need to know before you get started.

You don’t have to be, but you SHOULD have some background in sports and fitness. That way, you sound more credible. However, that’s obvious; and is the same with just about anything. I’m not EXACTLY comfortable with someone who writes about being a doctor, and doesn’t have any background in medicine.

So, make sure that you have a little background in health, sports and/or fitness.

Check out your favorite sports and fitness writers.

Make sure that you get some experience. Try to join a club or team. (Even if you can be a part of the staff. That would be helpful.)

The world is your oyster; you can do anything you want to do! Go for it!

Have you ever read the farmer’s almanac? It is LOADED with SOOO much AMAZING information! The weather, when to plant your garden, what to plant IN your garden, Astronomy, etc. It is AMAZING how close they come to the weather and so on.

Parents Anniversary Prompts

Today,my parents celebrated their 59th Wedding Anniversary! And the day before, my uncle and aunt celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary! It is such a blessing to have such long-lasting love in the family. With June being the traditional “Wedding Month”, I thought that it would be a GREAT idea to work on some parents anniversary prompts!

Black Music month

We know that Black Music permeates our daily lives; as it should. But, the month of June is when we uplift this section of music. Black Music Month is EVERY month. Since we are closing out the month, I challenge you to be inspired by indie artists!

Music writing is a difficult thing to do. You have to be inspired by something, have the right words for what you are trying to say. And find a way to say it by uplifting someone’s spirit. God bless those who can do it!

If you are an aspiring songwriter, look to Indie artists; they will lift your spirits and inspire your creativity.

Only GOD can judge. We must remember the bible verse that comes from Saint Matthew. “Do not judge, or you too, will be judged.” Matthew 7:1.

What REALLY 'Bugs' you? Prompts

I was thinking, do you know what REALLY BUGS ME? People who (even BEFORE the pandemic) cough or sneeze without covering their mouths! What makes a person think that I (or anyone) wants their germs? What if I went around coughing and sneezing all over everyone? Do you think that anyone would want to be around me? I don’t think so!

Thinking about that, I thought that a good way to get these feelings out, is to write about them!

1. What is the ONE thing that REALLY makes you angry??

2. If you could do something about it, what would you do?

3. Do YOU do something that you KNOW bugs someone else?

4. What do you do about it?

Okay. That’s a great start! Think about what really bugs you and write!!!

For those of us who were born before the BURST of social media, it’s almost hard to remember when we didn’t have social media to lean on for sharing quick information. So today I thought that we could write about a time when things were a bit slower. Let’s write some “Doing without technology for a day prompts”!

1. How would you get information to a friend if you DIDN’T have your cell phone?

2. What would you do if you didn’t have social media for a day, what ELSE would you do? Write? Paint? Cook?

3. How would you record your music?

4. Would you invite your friends over to play video games?
