With the show season finally winding down, many are looking forward to spending some much needed time at home. For others however, the down time can feel isolating and the holidays that so many of us look forward to celebrating can cause increased stress, depression and anxiety. AQHA professional horseman Tim Ketterman, who volunteers his time working with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, shares an important reminder about mental health along with resources for those who may be struggling. If you or someone you know is having a hard time, please reach out to a friend or loved one or pick up the phone and call the crisis line. Although it may not always feel like it, the horse industry is one big family and we’re all in this together.
We can’t wrap up our coverage of the 2024 AQHA World Championship without a big thank you to our talented media photographer and videographer, Miranda Burkert. Your creativity never ceases to amaze me and your positive attitude (even at the end of a very long run) makes you a joy to work with. We are so grateful to have you on our team! Watch for Miranda’s World Show candids in the December issue of Premier.
