A dear wonderful former pastor of mine (gone to be with God) left a quote that carries so much wisdom.
"That which you fear the most will come to control you."
Think a minute. What is it that you fear the most? It will rule your life. With God, there are two types of fear.
I. There is a terrifying fear of God. This fear stems from the image of God as judge. You can't go through the Bible and not see it. It is written "For it is appointed unto man once to die and then comes the judgement." It is a final judgement, and in some ways we all fear that believer and unbeliever.
2. The other fear is a reverential awe of God is. His creation which dwarfs our imagination for example. It is this fear that draws us into the "awesomeness" of God. It is a comforting fear for it come out of deep respect and love of the One who holds all things in His hand.
Imagine this: ask any world leader to die for you. Seriously, you will die if this world leader doesn't give up their life for you. They'd laugh in you face and might even kill you right there. But when Christ died on the cross, it was God himself who died that you might live. Believe it or not it's true.
So we go back to what my former Pastor said. "That which you fear the most will control you."
Oh, and by the way, "The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom."

Long time no talk to. Work is coming along on my next book Desecrated Sanctuary: Deception, Lies, and Death. I'm getting more people asking when my next book is coming out. I'm reading a new author Larry Enman. He's a former Secret Service Agent, now retired, I would encourage you to read his books. Our styles are similar. Class III Threat is very good, takes place in Dallas, and introduces another character, Bishop, in the next book Worst Case Scenario.
To be honest with all of you, I've been through a period of not wanting to write. But I think I'm coming out of it. Take care.

Recently I was able to have a book signing. It was my first signing since precovid and it was wonderful. Hopefully, I have more signings in the DFW area in a couple of months. There is a special feeling seeing people's faces after I sign their book. God willing maybe we can go beyond DFW and Texas. God Bless!

It doesn’t matter what book you read, the greatest story begins today and ends this Sunday. No event has had greater effect than the death,burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ the Son of God. The wonderful thing is the story has never ended and never will. Happy Easter and God bless.

Here in frozen North Texas not much is happening. Having Covid has slowed me down even more. I'm well into Desecrated Sanctuary (350 pages) and my proof reader loves the first half she's read. But now I'm at that place where I know I need to write but somehow can't put the right words down. It's just a phase and the "right" words will come and I'll be back at it. I'm looking, possibly, at a Christmas release date. Take care and be safe.

When you write, don't be afraid to challenge the norms. Any major controversial topic has two sides, but you need to do your research to find both sides. When researching "The Climate Conspiracy" by necessity I needed to know about man made climate change. Does it really occur? If you look at Google for arguments against man made climate change, you'll find almost nothing. I use the search engine Duckduckgo.com, a great search engine. It reveals both sides of the argument and if you look closely you might be surprised all is not as you've been told.

It is amazing how what you write as fiction can become fact. I am currently working on my third book, "Desecrated Sanctuary: Deception, Lies & Death." Part of the story deals with the drug cartels. Did you know that the cartels are not considered terrorist organizations? I didn't and was appalled that they weren't. President Trump asked about it and was told by his advisors it would unleash a torrent of people crossing the border. Yet recently Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas and Mexico's president and attorney general would ask the US to do just that. The Biden administration decline for what reason we do not know. And in his recent book from "The Oregon Files" series Clive Cussler's ghost writer brought up the same issue. When writing look around you a ponder not just what is happening but what could happen.

I don't know how many of you are keeping up with me, if you are hang in there. The last month has been one like I've never experienced before. I was hospitalized for nearly two weeks and in rehab for another two weeks. I won't bore you with details, but a college friend of mine said "I'm surprised you're still with us." It took me almost two weeks to learn what all was wrong. I had no warning at all. I say all this to say I'm back writing on Desecrated Sanctuary: Deception, Lies & Death. But another thing I want to share is life can change in a moment and take you in a direction you never thought. Live life and enjoy it. Appreciate family, experiences, and jobs. Thankfully my employer is keeping my position open. I have found an active audience in the medical community. My surgeon, my primary doctor, and my pharmacist are all saying they either love the book or can't wait to read it. When I did my first book "The Salvation Of San Miguel" the border was hot, so much so my possibility of going to the border with a border agent was shut down. Now it is a hundred times worse. But one thing remains the same, besides the horrendous violence. That thing in the major US media will not cover it. In my third book "Desecrated Sanctuary: Deception, Lies & Death" my research revealed that the cartels are not considered terrorists organizations This is unfathomable on any scale. I take this on in my forthcoming book. Release date sometime in late 2023.

Always be careful of your sources. You see my book deals with a senate climate bill. That deals with the ongoing debate about man made climate change. Some of you were taken aback that I used the phrase "ongoing debate." I did some checking and I found the source matters. If you search for information on arguments against man made climate on Google, you will find very little. But put in the same search on Duckduckgo (BTW, a very good search engine) you will find a number of arguments against. Google has an agenda. Check it out and see. For 27 years I taught college classes and I always challenged my students to know both sides of an issue. If you don't you're not being honest, but intellectually dishonest.

When you research a topic for a book you can look at things you only care for or be willing to push your limits. When writing The Climate Conspiracy I researched Washington D C until I felt like I could drive the place. Even eateries have to be researched and I found one I'd love to try. A friend who lived in DC for three years was amazed at my detail. Never be afraid to check things, you may surprised at what you find.

I would be remiss if I didn't hope you'd purchase "The Climate Conspiracy: Money, Power & Murder" at BN.com. There is a lot of fun when putting a book together. My first book "The Salvation of San Miguel" a 21st century Alamo was helped along by music. Music helped me to plot out certain scenes, for example the battle scene I used both Elton John's "Saturday Nights Alright for Fighting" and Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love." They gave intensity to the scene. For my new book music has not played as big a role, except for a climatic scene near the end of the of the book. This time I drew from Credence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son." Writing a book is an organic process. You have to find your own method.

With "The Climate Conspiracy: Money, Power & Murder" out on BN.com, I'll share some of the thoughts behind the book. A book I would recommend related to the idea of climate change is by the late great Dr. Michael Crichton. The book is State of Fear released in 2004. You'll be surprised at how relevant it feels nearly 20 years later. He wrote so many fascinating books. If you saw Jurassic World Dominion in theaters you saw the end product of Crichton's Jurassic Park novel. He wrote his books to feel like it could or would happen.

Part of my research for "The Salvation of San Miguel" regarded the 160th SOAR. This article only intrigued me more
because of the near mythical image of the 160th SOAR. The operation to take Ben Laden was a masterpiece and
to know more about it is good. I hope you enjoy this article. BTW, a source I cannot name remembered seeing CH-47
that was near silent. Now, anybody that's seen a CH-47 knows it shakes the ground when it goes over. Intriguing.
