Last night at After Dark nightclub in Fort Wayne, IN nilla naughty debuted their drag routine as The Big Dipper ❤️ told everyone the story of s***m and Gomorrah.

LaWanda Page (1920-2002)

Before she was known for throwing shade on Sanford and Son, LaWanda Page was known for spinning tassels- fire tassels to be specific! Born Alberta Peel, LaWanda began her stage career at 15 in St. Louis as one of the st*****rs in Irwin C. Miller’s Brown Skin Models. LaWanda added fire handling to her resume after learning a few tricks from a female impersonator named Taboo. Billed as the Flame Goddess or the Bronze Goddess of Fire, LaWanda would eat fire, light ci******es with her fingertips, and twirl fire tassels as part of her dance act. Having a natural flare for comedic timing, LaWanda released several raunchy comedy albums after she retired from dancing in the 1960s. In 1972, La Wanda joined the sitcom cast of Sanford and Son as Aunt Esther. She and Redd Foxx were lifelong friends and had worked together on the Chitlin Circuit when she was still dancing. While Sanford and Sons ended in 1977, LaWanda continued in comedy circuits. She performed standup into the 1990s and was known as the “Queen of Comedy.” LaWanda Page passed from diabetes-related complications in 2002.

I don't know why this hasn't received more publicity, but this fifty-foot sculpture was unveiled recently in South Dakota.
It's called 'Dignity' and was done by artist Dale Lamphere to honor the women of the Sioux Nation.
