There is magic on the other side of discipline. Recently I read something about discipline that changed my perspective.
There is a concept accepted by many psychotherapists that has been, most recently, coined as “the reversal of desire.” This is the idea that your brain, and consequently you, often seek to take the path of least resistance because we naturally seek to avoid pain. However, there is greatness when we love the pain associated with things like discipline toward a goal. This is an active duty of convincing yourself to do the opposite of what your brain wants. But it’s what’s best for you, for your business, and for your personal life.
