I keep thinking about LBJ. As POTUS, as Sen Majority or even Sen Minority Leader, he wouldn't get played like Obama, Schumer, Feinstein all gleefully do. Today's Dems have few principles in line w what their (begrudging) voters way but, oddly, seem to have no desire to win.

If you're angry today, you should direct some anger at Obama, Schumer, Feinstein.

Obama put up Garland (no leftists wanted him) &, when denied a hearing, kept gov running for 9 months.

Unlike LBJ, Schumer is a failure at wielding Senate power.

Ds don't play to win.

Rs do.

Maybe it's some kind of liberal West Wing fantasy, but Ds only have 1 goal—the White House popular vote. State legislatures, the courts, Electoral College, they cede all of it to Rs. Rs care about what their base wants; Ds deride, ignore & p**s on popular thing their base wants.
