Last week in honor of women's history month Neiman Marcus in Bal Harbor hosted a panel conversation and reception with the topic "How to Plan the Perfect Party" an intimate affair over cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and gorgeous floral arrangements. I recently had the pleasure of attendimng a foodie & influencer event at Maison Du Crab in Fort Lauderdale and it was one of the most remarkable experiences I have ever had. The ambiance is luxurious and inviting, with semi-private dining rooms perfect for hosting special events and celebrations. The full bar and wine list provide plenty of options to complement the meal, while both indoor and outdoor seating is available.
The menu offers a delightful fusion of Asian, European, Latin, and Caribbean flavors that are sure to please any palate. Highlights include fresh sashimi, nigiri, and maki selections as well as an array of select cuts of premium meats like filet mignon, lamb chops, duck breast, and poussin. Fresh-caught seafood like seabass or yellowtail also appear on the menu lending a delicate flavor to each dish.
My personal favorite was the Lamb Tajine with Mediterranean couscous mint raita and Harissa. This Middle Eastern classic was presented in a way that elevated its traditional flavors without compromising authenticity. The accompanying champagne and lobster risotto added an extra layer of sophistication to this already exquisite dish. To top off this amazing meal was the romantic atmosphere; a lovely candlelit setting complete with soft music makes for an unforgettable experience.
All in all I highly recommend Maison Du Crab for anyone looking for something truly unique when it comes to fine dining in Fort Lauderdale - from its sophisticated atmosphere to its creative cuisine you won't be disappointed.

Like most humans, I’m almost always in a hurry to get things done. Reach my goals. Build the life I want. Change the world in one way or another.
Unfortunately, this leaves no time to reflect and be grateful for the things I have. This week, I made a conscious decision to stop and be grateful for the following things:
1. Life
Most days I’m sure I take life for granted. As I reflected on it, I remembered friends, acquaintances and even family whose lives ended too soon. I’m not guaranteed next month, next week, or even tomorrow, and I’m grateful for the life I have and those who surround me.
2. Opportunities
I am constantly walking right into opportunities to continue to grow financially or Connect emotionally and expand my reach . I know not everyone has the same opportunities, and I’m forever grateful for it.
3. The journey
I’ve had great days and really great days! At the same time, I’ve had days when I felt like I’ve wanted to give up. I am grateful that the hard times taught me to be resilient and bounce back.

On MLK day, I was very honored to once again work with @ColorOfChange as part of the Serve Our Sisters committee for our annual day of action. Serve our sisters is an ongoing commitment to center, black women, uplift our stories, and celebrate our unique value in order to move our communities forward. 100 Volunteer spent the day assembling care packages for women impacted by incarceration. Held at Naomi’s Caribbean restaurant in Miami it was an inspiring afternoon, coming together with so many different types of people in our community for one really good cause. All packages are to be donated to The Smile Trust in Miami.
