This production was like one of those 48 hr film challenges. I received word that we needed a voice over script, shot list and storyboard ready for this product that we were shooting in two days.

In the early relationship-building phases of Madwire’s partnership with the #denverbroncos, I was tasked with creating several ‘Tribute to Entrepreneurs’ videos.
Many ex-Broncos players go on to start businesses of their own. We highlighted some really cool players including #justinbannan and #vonmiller. This was my favorite of those.

Big shoes to fill. That’s what everyone was overtly telling me with their looks. At least that’s how the situation was playing in my head when I was asked to take over the coveted Orange Party Video.
“Honored” was not the first thought to come in my brain. I normally loath internal fluff voice-overs with cool b-roll attached, but I took it as an opportunity to try something different, do something more ‘me’ with it, I guess.

It’s been over a year now since I started @madwire and, admittedly, I let the anniversary glance by without much initial thought.
For years I had wanted so bad to lead the freelance adventure filmmakers’ life, I still do honestly, but I could not ask for a better place to have a full-time job.
The guys I work with are not only great people, but super talented (@anders_j_ipsen @970biking @christopherong1 @drawnwithphotons @therealsnowden @focovision). Although we may not always agree on things, we get through it and do our best to put egos aside and our best work forward. (We’re a-typical guys sometimes ok? Who’s perfect?)
Most amazing of all is that all of us at Madwire are lead by a guy who, from my perspective, walks his walk. He motivates, cares, rewards, listens, speaks up, has fun, leads by example, and truly seems to want to do his best to change the world around him for betterment and growth.
I want to be more grateful for what I have. And I am.
