Trenton, Mi - POLICE PURSUIT - A South Rockwood police officer was in the area of South Huron River Dr and Gildersleeve St when they attempted to stop a motorcycle for a traffic violation. The motorcycle fled police west bound on South Huron River Dr and then northbound on Telegraph Rd. The chase continued through the cities of Flat Rock, Woodhaven, and Trenton.

Flat Rock PD, Woodhaven PD, and Trenton PD began assisting in the pursuit. The suspect continued eastbound on King Rd through West Jefferson Ave into the former Mclouth Steel property. The suspect reached a dead end and bailed off the motorcycle and began fleeing on foot from police. Police quickly apprehended the suspect.

Romulus, Mi - POLICE PURSUIT - On 05/11/2023 at around 230am a Romulus police officer was in the area of Merriman Rd and Ecorse Rd and attempted to stop a Buick Rendezvous for a license plate that did not match the vehicle. The vehicle began to flee from Romulus police eastbound on Ecorse Rd.

The vehicle continued to flee police at low speeds through the downriver area taking multiple freeways and roads passing through the cities of Talyor, Allen Park, and Melvindale. The suspect fled northbound on the Southfield Fwy into Detroit exiting at Plymouth Rd. The suspect fled to the area of Greenfield Rd and Orangelawn Rd where Romulus police terminated their pursuit.

A short time later a Michigan State Police trooper located the suspect still driving the vehicle near Ohio Ave and Grand River Ave in Detroit. The Michigan State Police pulled the vehicle over and Romulus PD responded and arrested the suspect.

Romulus PD and the Michigan State Police are investigating the incident.

The Taylor Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying the person in this photo. This person is a suspect in a retail theft of merchandise valued over several thousand dollars at the Taylor Kohl's department store. The suspect committed the crime with another identified suspect.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/ PLEASE SHARE:
The Huron Township Police Department is looking to identify and speak to this individual. Overnight, it appears that he went to multiple residences within Huron Township. We are not sure of his intentions, but we would like to speak to him to inquire. It appears to be a white male wearing a Central Michigan University sweatshirt.

We are getting some unconfirmed reports that he may have been in multiple areas and may have been anywhere last night.

If you know this person or see him in a neighborhood anywhere in the Township, please call us at 734-753-4400 to report. If you are him, please get in contact with us immediately.

Taylor, Mi - FATAL CRASH - Police and Fire were dispatched to Pardee Rd and Brest Rd for a two vehicle crash with serious injuries.

Taylor PD developed information that one of the drivers removed their own license plate and fled the scene on foot. Police located suspect near Heritage Park. The suspect began to flee from police into a wooded area. After a short foot chase the suspect was taken into custody.

The Downriver Crash Team and Taylor PD are investigating this incident. The victim involved in the crash was pronounced deceased.

Flat Rock, Mi - The Flat Rock Animal Shelter recently had an influx of dogs brought in.

The Flat Rock Animal Shelter is reporting their supply of dry dog food is running very low. The Flat Rock Animal Shelter is requesting assistance in the form of donations. They are also running low on dry cat food and kitty litter.

Donations can be dropped off anytime to the Flat Rock Police Department at 25500 Gibraltar Rd or to the Flat Rock Animal Shelter anytime during the day in the outdoor bin.

Synopsis:
Metro South troopers heard over the radio that the Warren Police Department and Metro North Post troopers were pursuing a white Chrysler 300 wanted for a Larceny from Auto/Attempted UDAA.

Warren PD terminated the pursuit and Trooper 2 followed the suspect vehicle into the city of Romulus. A Metro South sergeant located the 300 in a subdivision in Romulus and attempted a stop. The suspect fled and the sergeant did not pursue.

Trooper 2 followed the suspect vehicle as it entered the parking garage at the Motor City Casino. The suspect vehicle was located abandoned in the garage. Troopers located two suspects walking along the street outside of the parking garage.

One suspect ran and was detained a short distance away. Troopers used surveillance footage from the parking garage which confirmed the two suspects in custody were the ones in the 300.

The 32 year old driver from Livonia and the 24 year old passenger from Detroit were lodged pending prosector review.

“This is just another example of the great work troopers are doing to keep Michiganders safe.” said MSP F/Lt Mike Shaw. “We will continue to use technology along with good old fashioned police work to help build a Michigan where everyone feels safe and secure.”

Southgate, Mi - SHOOTING - On 04/30/2023 at around 300am police were dispatched to the 13000 block of Village Park Dr for a 911 hang up call with yelling heard in the background.

While police were responding dispatch received multiple calls for shots being fired at the location.

Police determined several shots were fired and a physical assault occurred. No one was struck by gunfire during the incident. The suspect fled the scene.

Southgate PD is investigating the incident.

Flat Rock, Mi - ARMED ROBBERY - On 04/26/2023 at around 6pm police were dispatched to the 24000 block of Deer Creek Dr in Deerfield Estates for a reported armed robbery.

Police spoke to the victim who reported being robbed at gun point by two unknown suspects while in his driveway. Property was stolen from the victim and the suspects fled in a vehicle towards Telegraph Rd. No injuries reported.

Flat Rock PD is investigating the incident.

The Detroit Regional Communication Center was contacted by Woodhaven Police requesting assistance with a crash investigation.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of a Chevy Tracker was traveling in the left lane. The 22 year old driver from New York of a SUV failed to stop in a sure clear distance and rear ended the Tracker pushing the rear-end of the SUV past the B pillar.

The driver of the Tracker was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. The other driver was transported as a precaution. The freeway was closed for the investigation.

“Again it appears that distracted driving and following too close resulted in another traffic crash.” said F/Lt Mike Shaw, Public Information Officer. “Every crash on our roads can be prevented if drivers make good decisions behind the wheel”.

Taylor, Mi - POLICE PURSUIT - Police were in the area of Goddard Rd and Pardee Rd and observed a traffic crash. Police observed a white Chrysler 300 that was involved in the crash fleeing the scene southbound on Pardee Rd. Police attempted to stop the vehicle but the suspect vehicle continued to flee from police southbound on Pardee Rd. Police pursued the vehicle into the Southland Mall parking lot eastbound towards Racho Rd. Police terminated the pursuit for safety concerns near Racho Rd and Eureka Rd.

Taylor PD is investigating the incident.

Allen Park, Mi - FATAL CRASH - Police and Fire were dispatched to the northbound Southfield Fwy Service Dr north of Outer Dr for a serious injury crash involving a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital by Allen Park FD. The motorcyclist later succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

Allen Park PD and the Downriver Crash Team are investigating this incident.

Allen Park, Mi - SHOOTING - On 04/20/2023 at around 3am police were dispatched to the area of Allen Rd and Mclain Ave for a shooting.

The victim reported being approached by a suspect who fired one round at the victim’s vehicle. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.

No injuries were reported. Allen Park PD is investigating the incident.

Taylor, Mi - ARMED CARJACKING - Police were dispatched to the 6500 block of Westpoint St 04/18/2023 at around 930am for an armed carjacking.

The victim reported their black 2019 Chevrolet Equinox was stolen at gunpoint. The suspect fled in the victim’s vehicle prior to police arrival.

1. Attempted Armed Carjacking - On 03/17/2023 near the 6500 block of Syrcause St. Suspect attempted to steal a vehicle at gunpoint but fled on foot after being scared off.

2. Armed Carjacking - On 04/08/2023 near the 23000 block of Newcastle. Suspect stole a 2012 Jeep at gun point and fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

3. Armed Carjacking - On 04/18/2023 near the 6500 block of Westpoint St. Suspect stole a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox at gunpoint and fled in the victim’s vehicle.

Flat Rock, Mi - Police and Fire were dispatched to the Huron River three unoccupied kayaks in the river and a life jacket floating in the river. Flat Rock PD and Rockwood PD started checking the river banks. Flat Rock FD launched a rescue watercraft to help investigate from the Flat Rock boat launch. Thirty minutes later police located the owners who were safe on land and were not injured.
