The past week has been overwhelming. A winter storm the likes we haven't seen in decades. I am so proud of our team at Elk River Media - Bryan & Tracie Mornings on 105.5 WYTM along with 98-5 The Elk and the hard work they've endured for days to keep Lincoln County informed and safe. Our tremendous on-air staff, including Jennifer Herron, Mark Hunter, Dwight King, Mustang Sally, Ron Wood and Carl Dimond Chapman. We also want to give a shoutout to WHNT News 19 and the superb meteorologists that have been with us to cover the changing weather. Hats off to Ben Smith WHNT News 19, Danielle Dozier, Jessica Camuto and Aaron Ayers for all of their tireless efforts to keep Lincoln County informed.

I'll put our team up against any broadcasting group in the country. They are THAT good and dedicated. Here's to warmer days ahead!

Thank you to everyone who watched and supported our newscast during this snow/sleet event. Doing severe weather including snow is very difficult and it’s very taxing for many of us. I know it was very difficult for me personally. Thank you for your positive vibes and support through the entire week of chaos. It’s much appreciated! We’ve done so much severe weather over the years, but this one was very challenging over a week’s time trying to get to and from work each day. Six days was a challenge. Doing weather updates with road conditions was tough. But THANK YOU so much everyone. I hope we get a break for a bit. Have an awesome week everyone!

It's John Malone. I’m pleased to tell you about a new show on WYTM starting Tuesday right after the obituaries and weather just before noon. It’s called Lunchtime Conversations. I’m bringing in local leaders, business people, community volunteers… and folks with a good story to tell. You’ll get to learn more about the people who are an important part of Fayetteville and Lincoln County. We’ll have these Lunchtime Conversations periodically throughout each month so I hope you’ll be listening. This week I’ll be visiting with newly-elected Fayetteville Alderman Jacob Painter.

Original: An AMBER Alert has been issued on behalf of the Fayetteville Police Department for 1-year-old Roberto Godinez III.

He may be w/Roberto Godinez II, and they may be traveling in a dark gray 2015 Chrysler 200 w/ TN tag D055UT w/front end damage.

The child is 1’05”, 36 lbs, with blonde hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt.

Godinez is wanted by the Fayetteville Police Dept for especially aggravated kidnapping, and other offenses.
