The Fairfield Lady Eagles defeat the Groesbeck Lady Goats 84-21 tonight in district play. Fairfield will play in the Saginaw Tournament Dec 27-28 before hosting Central Heights on Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. before district play starts again in January.

Fairfield Mayor Kenneth Hughes and his wife, Nicole, turned on the Christmas Tree on Saturday night at the Freestone County Courthouse. The Home for the Holidays Christmas Celebration was postponed until Saturday, Dec. 21, and will be held in conjunction with Jingle All The Way. The event is planned from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Santa and Mrs. Claus made a special stop in Fairfield at Pack N Mail on Saturday, Nov. 16, for Cookies with Santa. They offered Christmas pictures as well. The event was a huge success and they plan on making it an annual tradition.
