There is no affection like that of a mother. It is genuine, pure, and genuine, and it makes you feel comfortable and fuzzy inside. It is a unique love that we carry every day.
I challenge you to be the best woman you know and aspire to be because within you are the tools, values, and characteristics to be all that you can be and even more than we can fathom being and more.
Meet the Author:
Pastor Sarah L. Jones
Pastor Sarah L. Jones is a native of Cleveland, Ohio where she was raised as an only child by her mother in a single parent home. She is the wife of Pastor Dewayne Michael Jones of thirteen years and is the mother of four beautiful daughters (queens) and the proud grandmother of two granddaughters (princesses).
Sarah often wondered why her mom was so strict!... she felt her friends were allowed to do more than her. Forty-eight years later, she understands.
At an early age in 1999 Sarah lost her mother, age 44, to Sickle Cell Anemia. Although Sarah was an adolescent she gained the lesson of being a young lady that acted with integrity, showed strength, love and respect. Sarah believes, her mother was aware that she would not always be present. The lost of her mom would change Sarah's life forever whereas she spent her entire life attempting to make her mommy proud, even in her absence. Years of uncertainty plagued young Sarah's life as she did not know how to make herself proud.
The trajectory of Sarah's life has changed as she has obtained her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and is the proprietor of 'Tis So Sweet Baking and Catering, CEO/Founder of Omega Rho Chi Sorority, Incorporated (Christian Women Sorority). Along side her husband, Sarah is Senior Pastor of The SHIFT Church.
Sarah patterns her life on Philippians 4:13, "I can do (accomplish) all things through Christ who strengthens (empowers) me."

Dear Daughter, as I reflect on my life, I evaluated some things that my momma told me but I didn’t have the mental authority to listen. I now realize there was purpose attached to her words and not what I perceived as just empty rhetoric. She spoke knowledge which were seeds of wisdom she so lovingly planted in me. She always knew the things I was about to do before I did them or what I was thinking before I spoke it out of my mouth. This insightful gift is called a mother’s intuition but I like to think of it as the Holy Spirit. I now understand the Holy Spirit enabled her to speak wisdom to guide me through life’s obstacles and challenges. If I had listened more during my informative years, I would have made better choices in my life. I would have made wiser decisions about my friends, relationships, love and missed opportunities. These are things that my mother tried to tell me but now that I am seasoned and have experienced the vicissitudes of life, I can use my experiences and translate them into words of wisdom to pass on to you and future generations.

Many days, I look at you and smile with delight, admiring your beauty and intelligence, and realizing how fortunate I am to be a part of your life. I wish I could shield you from the dangers of this world. Although that is physically impossible, please know that I pray for your safety and protection on a daily basis.
I vowed from the day you were born to not only show you how much you are loved, but also to tell you I love you. Tracey Carter is a dedicated educator with more than twenty-five years of experience. She has relished teaching in the United States, where her local school awarded her Teacher of the Year. Additionally, she has taught in the United Arab Emirates and Japan.
Tracey has served her community by volunteering with Wheels on Meals, at the Senior Community Center in her neighborhood, and by hosting Chinese and Libyan exchange students. She takes joy trying out new experiences and creating new ones.
Her interests in reading and writing led to the publication of her first children's book, A Day at the Beach, and an Amazon Bestselling collaborative book titled I Am Woman.

When my conversation became real with God for me. 


I was sitting in the best place to converse with God, in the bathroom where there is peace, quietness and tranquility. I was vulnerable and broken and I needed God to move in my life for real. I was going through a divorce and nothing was working out for me. On top of all that I was ministering the Word of God but did I really believe that God would make me whole as I experienced HIM making others whole through HIS word, the same Word I preached and taught about the power of prayer. I was sitting there with tears in my eyes falling like water out of an open facet and all my hope was dwindling. I was at the door of giving up, throwing in the towel, and walking away from everything. Then, I heard my own words that God gave me to give to others; that word was “Pray” talk to God about it. At that moment I had nothing to lose and all to gain. That’s when I became vulnerable; I opened up my heart and my mouth and began talking to God about it all…. The first thing about talking (praying) to God is you must open up (invite Him in) your heart for God to come in to your space for the conversation to begin. God is a gentleman, He doesn’t force Himself on you, and He only appears by invitation only.
