On June 26th, 2024, the heart of Eureka Springs beat stronger than ever. The community gathered at the monthly CAPC meeting to voice their concerns and stand against the unilateral actions of a few special interests. These actions threatened to undermine the inclusive spirit of our beloved town. For some, it was about a fleeting moment in a video, removed without just cause. For others, it was about a deeper issue—an abuse of power and a betrayal of public trust.
But what emerged from that evening was a powerful testament to our collective spirit. In a gathering filled with passionate voices and heartfelt sentiments, the true essence of Eureka Springs shone through. Our community came together to celebrate the diversity and inclusivity that make our town so unique. It was a night filled with stories of love, unity, and an unwavering commitment to protecting the real heart of Eureka Springs. We sincerely wanted our project to engage and unite the community in a way that would serve to broadcast its culture. The universe seems to have a sense of humor because we thought we did a pretty good job, but THIS issue took the community engagement to a WHOLE OTHER LEVEL! Hats off to everyone helping to tell the world about Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We love you all :-)
