Help us stop the urbanization of Englewood!
Losing against woke politics can be depressing, to say the least.
Want to see something unbelievable and uplifting?
Join us at the Englewood City Council meeting tonight, March 6 @ 6pm, to stand side-by-side with other conservatives against a woke agenda. You will be impressed with the logic and passion of the homeowners fighting against the power of the taxman.
Englewood owns hundreds of vacant acres where it can build 'affordable housing.' Instead of issuing a bond to build low-income housing, the city council wants to change the zoning laws, so developers can scrape and rebuild in single-family, starter-home neighborhoods.
Englewood City Council members Nunnekamp and Anderson admitted the plan to allow corner lots in R1 zoned neighborhoods to be flattened and rebuilt as apartment buildings was their idea. No one higher on the government food chain is forcing them to make these changes to the zoning laws. Nunnenkamp referred to buying a house as 'privilege,' because other people don't get to have the same experience.
Progressive members of the Englewood City Council are putting the burden of affordable housing on established neighborhoods. The initial plan is to allow corner lots in R1 zones to be demolished, and to build four-unit, family dwellings.
Anxious developers are showing up to make a buck off anything they can buy. Nothing about this leads to less expensive house costs. Developers will be allowed to charge the going rate for these new rental units.
There is talk at city council meetings to allow non-corner lots to scrape and rebuild as well. The height considered in the bulk plane is up to 32'. Developers believe off-street parking is a 'waste of income generating square footage.'
Show up, and fight for your property rights. You are welcome even if you live elsewhere. This is the front line of the war against tyranny.
This is coming to Littleton, Sheridan, Aurora, and Lakewood. Denver has already succumbed to these zoning law changes.
Can't come at 6:00 pm.? We will be there for hours. Come by whenever you can. The meeting may go until 10:00 p.m. or longer. There is a metal detector.
