North East High School Cheerleaders are the 2025 Cecil County Winter Cheer Champions after last nights performance at Elkton High School.

Rising Sun finished in 2nd and Elkton placed 3rd in the County Championships.

Now all three must wait until Wednesday to find out who advances to the Regional Finals

Wednesday, January 22 at 6:00pm in the Elkton High School Gymnasium, Cheer Squads from Harford and Cecil County will be competing in the County Winter Finals for a chance to advance to the Regional Championship on Thursday, February 6th.

Good luck to all the teams competing on Wednesday.

Due to ice on the roads and extremely cold temperatures, schools will open two hours late on Wednesday, January 22. There will be no preschool due to the early dismissal for elementary schools on Wednesdays. Given road conditions, all employees are to report to work as soon as possible.
