Congratulations to the Lady Dukes 11u Girls Softball Team. They just won the USSSA East Coast Nationals 11-3 over Explosion Fastpitch.

The Lady Dukes went 9-0 this weekend in tournament play.

We’re thrilled to share that the Perryville Branch Library renovation is almost complete!

Please join us on Saturday, July 27 at 10am. We will have a community ribbon cutting and will then open the doors to your Library.

Cecil County 4-H camp still has openings for campers. Participation is not limited to 4-H members. The camp has a long history, spanning over 70 years, with multigenerational team members who are passionate about the program.

Congratulations to Scott Serio for an image run in the December 19, 2023 Issue of Cecil County Sports Weekly that picked up a first place gold medal for Feature Photography in the 2023 Society of Professional Journalists Sigma Delta Chi Awards. The New York Times, NBC, WaPo and other major news outlets enter and win in this contest. This was Scott's third year in a row with a win.

Earlier this year Scott won seven photography awards from the MDDC Press Association for his photography for Cecil County Sports Weekly.

Congratulations Scott and thank you for your time photographing Cecil County's Athletes and our Community.

Major Softball finished their State Tournament last night. They finished 1st in District 5 and went on to represent Chesapeake City Little League and MD District 5 at the Maryland State Tournament at SMYOLL in Pomfret, MD.
Thank you to the players, coaches, and parents for representing Chesapeake City Little League and for their efforts and sportsmanship on and off the field.
We are so proud of you!

Reagan Ramadan wrestled today in the Tyrant Wrestling Bison Open and the Duals Tournament. Reagan went 4-0 in the Duals Tournament wrestling up at 165lbs.
in the Open Tournament there were three wrestlers in Reagan’s bracket where she went 2-0. Her first match h was a technical 10-0 win and the second match was a pin fall.
Probably her biggest match of the day was against the wrestler from Stephen Decatur. Both wrestlers entered the match undefeated. Reagan won the match on criteria.
