Good evening everyone, don't forget, tomorrow Jan 31st is 5th Friday and that means Movie and Pizza night at the clubhouse. Doors open before 6, movie will start about 7. This mon is hs movie is "UP" by request.
Come on out and enjoy the fun.

Also, next wee on Friday is February business meeting, come out and see how well the club is doing and pic up a copy of our newsletter "The Beam", you can also sign up to get it in you email at that time. Some have already done just that.

QST QST, don't forget everyone, tonight is program night at 7pm.
It's a good program tonight, a lot of Hams are really getting into Parks On The Air (POTA) these days so tonight we are going to show you how to get involved, all the in and outs, equipment examples etc. Don't miss tonight's program if you are wanting to get involved in the POTA fun.

Then tomorrow will be the QCWA Ch. 64 meeting at 4:30 followed by the Chili dinner at 6:00.
Are dinner events are always a lot of fun, at $7 person, it's a bargain and it helps the club. Come on out and visit with fellow hams and see what everyone is up to while enjoying a great meal.

Auction just starting up now at 7pm.

Decorated tonight for the Christmas party tomorrow.
Really looking forward to seeing everyone.
Remember it's a white Elephant Auction and a pot luck.
For the auction, if you'd like to bring a present, label it for "male", "female", or "both" and Santa will auction off the presents.
It's a blast every year.

As a side note, the QCWA Ch 64 meeting will NOT be taking place at the clubhouse this Saturday, instead they will be joining us tomorrow (Friday the 20th) for the Christmas party.

Great meeting turnout last night at the NWS for National Skywarn Recognition Day.

Just a reminder everyone, the meeting tonight will be at the National Weather Service in Santa Teresa and NOT at the clubhouse.
Meeting will be at normal 7pm time.
We are out there every December in support of National Skywarn Recognition Day.
Come on out to the meeting and get a tour.

Good afternoon everyone, now that we are done with our Thanksgiving celebration at the club, we just to remind everyone that this upcoming Friday is our December business meeting and we will be holding that meeting at the National Weather Service in Santa Teresa NM like we do every year.
We always hold our December meeting at the NWS because we as a club put the weather service on the air in celebration of "Skywarn Recognition Day" which starts on December 7 @ 0000 UTC (6pm local time) and runs for 24 hours.
The meeting will start at normal time (7pm). Tours of the NWS will be available that evening.

A work party went out to the National Weather Service to set up a new HF antenna and check out the existing VHF/UHF antennas in preparation for SkyWarn Recognition Day that happens this upcoming Friday December 6th-7th.

This Thanksgiving Thursday we are having a pot luck Thanksgiving dinner / day at the clubhouse. Come on over and spend the day, watch parades, football, movies and have a good meal with us. It's NOT a fundraiser, it's for ham friends and families to spend time together instead of home alone. If you can contribute to the menu, great, if you can't, that's ok too. The clubhouse will be opened in the morning around 8am and we're planning on having the main meal around 3pm.
Donations always welcome but not necessary.
Currently on the menu is as follows.
Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Ham, Candied Sweet Potatoes, Ranch Beans, German style Red Cabbage, German Dumplings, Cranberry Sauce, Veggie Noodle Salad, Dinner Rolls, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Pecan Pie.

If you would like to contribute or just attend, please comment below that you are coming and if you're bringing something, what it is.
We're really looking forward to spending time together with our Ham Family and Dear friends.

Another successful Veterans Day parade wrapped up. A good group of hams from the Sun City ARC do what they can to serve the Veteran's and to community to give back for all that the Veteran's and active duty military have done for us.
