Ok everybody, this Thursday, September 4th starts our new Technician license training course. Class will start at 6pm at the clubhouse. The classes will run 2 hours a night 1 day a week for several weeks, we will cover everything needed and even get you on the air during classes.

We will be using the ARRL Technician class study manual, link below. If you don't have if for the 1st class, that's ok. We'll have 1 or 2 extras that can be borrowed.

Howdy Y'all!!!
This upcoming Friday the 29th is the 5th Friday of the month. That means movie and pizza night.
The doors will open at 6pm and movie will start about 7pm.
I believe we will have an 80s classic for our viewing pleasure.
Come out and join the ham family with a fun filled evening.

Quick side note, ham radio Technician classes will start on November 4th.

QST QST
This months business meeting on July 4th is being postponed until July 18th because of the independence day holiday.

So again, no meeting on the 4th, next meeting will be on the 18th.

On the following day, the 19th will be the "Ice cream social" at the DQ on Macomb s. Will post more details in a few days.

Field Day 2025:

Field Day 2025 is this weekend June 28-29 from noon local time Saturday to noon Sunday.
We were going to eat up this year in Cloudcroft NM but with the fires and the fire warnings in the area we decided to go ahead and just set up at our Clubhouse in Northeast El Paso. We will be arriving at the clubhouse to set up around 8am Saturday morning and will be ready to go on the air by noon.
We are planning on running 3E which means 3 stations running on emergency power. We will have 1 radio running voice "phone", 1 radio running CW (Morse code) and 1 radio running digital, (all flavors FT8, FT4, PSK Etc ).

We welcome hams and non hams to come visit, see what FD is all about and maybe even get on the air.

Don't forget, tonight is movie and pizza night at the clubhouse, come on down and enjoy a film with friends and a bite to eat.
Doors will open at 630 or earlier and movie should start around 7.
