Due to snow, ice, and freezing temperatures leading to hazardous road conditions, there will be no in-person classes tomorrow, January 7, 2025. ALL Taylor County School District students will complete NTI (Cyber) Day #1 tomorrow.

If you have any questions regarding NTI work, please contact your child’s teacher directly via Remind or email. ALL teachers will be available throughout the day to help with schoolwork.

Please have your child do their best to complete their assignments. However, we will help students with their work when they return to school if they cannot complete it for any reason.

Green County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 7 due to continued hazardous travel conditions in some areas of the county.

This will be a traditional snow day. Assignments will NOT be posted to Google Classroom.

The Metcalfe vs Cumberland game has been postponed until tomorrow, Jan. 7. The Lady Hornets and Hornets will host the Panthers in the All "A" Classic starting at 6pm on Tuesday.

OUTAGE UPDATE 8:00 PM Fast time.

Please make preparations for an overnight outage if you are still without electricity. Our crews will be out tonight until 11 PM to midnight, then will be retiring for the night so they can start fresh in the morning. Bad weather is expected until early Monday morning and visibility is poor for our linemen.

Again we are working diligently at the office and out in the field to restore as many of our members as possible. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area until 6:00 PM CST Monday. Due to the winter storm warning and hazardous travel conditions, all Barren County schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, January 6. The forecast calls for ice accumulation on power lines, which may lead to widespread power outages, so this will be a traditional snow day, NOT a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day. Please stay safe, and take extra precautions as the weather conditions develop.

Due to the inclement weather and the winter storm warning, there will be no school on Monday, January 6th. for Glasgow Independent Schools. We will makeup this snow day on Tuesday, February 18th. Stay safe and warm. Go Scotties!
