Magan’s Fare

Short Film (25 minutes)

The project is a SAG Short Project Agreement. Currently in post-production.

**Both SAG and Non SAG actors can submit.

Description:

Logline: A driver takes an older woman back to her nursing home, but they have given up her bed. The driver must figure out what to do next.

We are looking for the voice of Hooya, Magan's mom.

Voice of Hooya: Somali American

Female. 50+

Language: Must speak fluent Somali.

Magan’s mother. Traditional, very sweet, but can have a bite to her tone, having an all-day domestic issue with her daughter-in-law. She calls Magan throughout the length of the film to update Magan on her frustrations and dilemma.

All Hooya's lines are in Somali

Rate: SPA SAG rate for 1 day of work

Recording note: We will record from our phone to their phone so the actor can do the recording with us from the comfort of their own home in a quiet location. Must be in a quiet environment and must have a strong, clear phone connection.
