When in London - stop for amazing Indian cuisine 🇮🇳

We were soo excited to check off of our UK foodie bucket list on our recent trip to London. This restaurant was recently voted in the Top 8 Best new Indian restaurants in London, and from the wine selections to our dishes we tried, we can see why! 👏
….
For appetizers, we started with the Kori Kempu (Curry flavoured Mangalorean fried chicken supreme, crispy rice noodle, & chilli mayo) and Purani Dilli (Mini samosa, masala chickpeas, pomegranate, & crispy sev), along with wines for the two of us. Everything was super fresh and vibrant and I love how allergen friendly the menu is.

Next, we split the Sunday Lamb Curry (Home style Indian lamb curry) with a Tandoori Roti. This dish was like a hug in a bowl, and what I’d imagine it’d feel like if you went home to see your Indian grandma for Sunday supper. 💜☺️

This dinner was worth the wait 💜 Thank you to those who wished me a happy 30th birthday yesterday! Absolutely feel the love lately...
Last night, we enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Jianna downtown. They included lovely touches, like wishing me a happy birthday on our printed menu and being great with allergy questions and offerings. It was a great experience. They make all their pasta from scratch, utilizing as many local and seasonal ingredients as possible in their rotating menu. What we ordered from the photos below:
🍰 Dessert: Cinnamon Torta (with Compressed apples, Toasted Marshmallow Sorbetto, & Pecan Biscotti Crumble) (Also vegan!)
🍝 My pasta: Strozzapreti (Lamb shank ragu, Mint Pesto, Sundried tomatoes, & shaved Pecorino Romano (aka sheep's cheese)
🍝 Jamie's pasta: Campanelle (Braised Chicken Ragu, Calabrian Chilies, Beech Mushrooms, & Ricotta Salata). Also had a side of their meatballs!
🍹🍷 Drinks: Aperol Spritz for me and a gorgeous Italian Red wine for Jamie (their entire wine selection is from Italy!)....

Jamie‘s favorites for drinks included the delicious Rivulet Liqueur pecan liquor (which we are so getting a bottle of), and the Wild Turkey 101 rye whiskey. His all-time fave dish was Vince Chef Bieneteuolo’s bourbon-glazed pork belly grilled cheese, complete with braised onions, smoked Gouda cheese, local L***y Monk mustard aïoli, and a brioche bun. Everyone else must have agreed, as he won best savory dish of the weekend! 👏

I chose an everything bagel piled high with eggs and Taylor ham—pure breakfast bliss! I also brought back some of my favorite flavors for the fam, including French Toast (my go-to), Onion, Old English (with cornmeal dusting to harken back to English muffins), and Cinnamon raisin....

Last stop on our Restaurant Week adventure: Fork and Plough! 🍽️✨ ..
Three mouthwatering courses and drinks that were delish! What a delicious way to wrap up the week! ..
I started with their seasonal sangria, Carolina Peach Salad with Split Creek Farms, Goat cheese, arugula, peaches, candied pecans, and balsamic vinaigrette. Next was Jamie's crispy pork belly with a fried green tomato, smoked Pimento cheese, and tomato relish. For mains, we enjoyed the pear, onion-topped pork chop, and Fried Carolina Catfish with cheesy grit and okra. Finally, we chose the local Peach Tart ( ) with wildberry sorbet and Lemon pudding cake for dessert...

We just wrapped up our first Restaurant Week SC experience at Keipi, and it was nothing short of spectacular! From mouthwatering dishes to a warm and welcoming atmosphere, every moment was a delight. 🍷..
Curious about what we indulged in during our three-course meal? Swipe right to see photos of my spicy Vegan Khachapuri, Tomato Cucumber salad, and Baia's Tsiska-Tsolikouri white wine. Jamie's Chkmeruli (chicken in a turmeric cream sauce), Badrijani (eggplant rolls with walnut-garlic filling and charcuterie), and Medok cake (made with lemon cream and honey with ice cream) follow mine! We've always loved Keipi and still do, so excited we got to come back for more amazing dishes we hadn't discovered yet. 💜..

Whipped up a storm in the kitchen with this mouthwatering vegan curry tofu recipe from No Sweat Vegan 🌱🍛

In just 40 minutes, we enjoyed a flavorful dish packed with rice, veggies, and the goodness of tofu. 😋💚 We're incorporating more in our house (it helps when tofu is on sale at Costco too). Stay tuned for more fun recipes with a plant-based focus!
