Spirit Mountain 50th Anniversary Medallion Hunt Rules!!

Join the hunt to celebrate Spirit Mountain’s 50th anniversary!

One medallion per person - There are 10 medallions hidden.

Clues will be posted on Facebook and Instagram Stories starting at 10:15 on Saturday, 12/21. Additional clues will be posted as the day goes on until all medallions have been found.

You must have a valid season pass or day ticket to participate.

The medallion is hidden within Spirit Mountain property but not in dangerous, restricted, or environmentally sensitive areas. All Medallions are hidden outside in open places. There is no need to climb, kick, dig, trample, break, or crawl through anything.....

Be respectful, be nice, and don’t cause chaos.

Bring found medallions to the Sports desk (in the rental area) for a prize. Spirit Mountain staff will verify the winner and award the prize.
All medallions must be turned in before 5p.

Minneapolis Parks & Recreation staff captured "water flowers" on Lake Harriet over the weekend. Water flowers are delicate clusters of ice crystals that can form on top of newly frozen ice but only when it is very cold, and the air is very still.

They are often found on fresh sea ice, but can sometimes form on frozen lakes. According to the parks and recreation department, it has been years since the city has seen the right conditions for frost flowers. 📸 Courtesy photo.

Wow, what a day….started out with 3 inches overnight, we had a crew of 5 grooming…and tracksetting at 6 am and then at 10-11 it turned into a full blown blizzard. We parked the groomers at noon and will be back out early am with 6 of us. Looks like a great weekend of skiing.
