Meet Abigail, the newest, named hen in our flock. She's a pretty bantam cochin. 😍

For those who don't know, I let my nieces and nephews take turns naming the chickens, and we don't typically name roosters because they are never guaranteed to stay long term....so, we never name chicks, we wait to determine hen or roo before naming. So while Abigail was hatched here, she just recently received her name.

These will be short 10 - 15 minute lives/videos. Each video will feature 5 - 10 available items.

It's been a long time coming, but our airbnb room is finally available! We have done airbnb at our last 2 homes, and always intended to do it here, as well. For some reason, it took me a year to get this room ready to go!

I have a silkie roo and a satin silkie roo available. Both are Approximately 40 weeks old.

Satin silkie has no flaws.

Silkie has incorrect colored comb. (Mother is partridge, so skin is not black)

I have been working on pickling and canning some quail eggs for the past few days. I make pickled quail eggs on a regular basis, but they are kept in the refrigerator.

This is my first attempt at canning them to make them shelf stable.

I am going to put them in the pantry and will open a jar in 2-3 months, be sure to like and follow, to see how they turn out!
