But, one of his biggest personal accomplishments was overcoming Stage 4 throat cancer, in 2014.

Here's a little on Marty Maibuecher....

When Marty Maibuecher turned fifty-three, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. His Neurologist encouraged Marty to make exercise a central part in managing his PD. So Marty decided he would give boxing a try to see how the movement could help him combat Parkinson's.

Marty quickly saw the positive results that Gregory Boxing & Muay Thai created within his every day activity. But, more importantly he realized that boxing could help save others that were struggling with Parkinson's. So, Marty collaborated with Wayne Gregory who created this program - a proven formula where combining the fundamentals of boxing with cognitive exercise and mental rehearsal, combats progression for anyone with Parkinson's.

Parkinson's patients are able to participate at no cost, partly through grants received in partnership with Rush Hospital and the Parkinson's Foundation.

As Marty recently said, "I'm very humbled to be part of this new program, and happy to discuss how other's who have the desire can fight back thru AMP!"
