This mix crashed out of me so naturally and powerfully like waves on the shore - all the words I couldn’t say.

It’s been a year since I released my last wave mix and this one holds a special place in my heart. A reminder of the beauty and expressiveness within music - my safe haven, my peace, and my saviour.

I wanted to experiment with slower/calmer music and not box myself in one genre. Honestly my favorite set thus far. I hope you enjoy as you embark with me on this emotional journey 🌊

Break My Heart & Break My Neck was the first mix I ever released 2 years ago. Looking back and comparing these two mixes has really shown me how much progress I’ve made DJing. I started this journey because I was mentally unwell and in the trenches, but through music I am finally beginning to thrive. This project will always be dear to me and excited to see where it goes. My first Bass Ops was special for many reasons: vinyl was my stomping grounds as a youth, I’ve always wanted to play Bass Ops since I started DJing, I was able to share the stage w so many talented artists…and last but not least: it was the first show my mom and step dad came to 🥺

My mom has always stressed getting a good job and for that, I had to put my creative passions on the back burner. To see her come out to support and immerse herself in the culture was truly a start to healing my inner child 🥹🫶🏼
